    Jennifer was awesome

by sgmathews1 on 3/19/10House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

Jennifer performed without a band but her voice and guitar filled the room brilliantly. She really did a wonderful job after being gone for so long. She played a few old songs and several of her new songs not yet released.

    Knapp is back!

by tahoemaboe on 3/19/10House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

Great show! Her new songs are awesome. Only downer was she didnt play too much of her old stuff and she said it was because she truly has forgotten the words or how to play it. My favorite song is Refine Me, which she didnt play. But other than that, great show and I recommend it for the Knapp fans!

The Birchmere was a wonderful venue for seeing and enjoying Jen, Derek and Amy. Jen played awesomely. The songs her and Amy did together were especially wonderful. Thank you!

    Wow...Jennifer Knapp was Fantastic

by LisaSki on 3/9/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Jennifer Knapp might have been on hiatus for seven years but it was not at all evident last night at the Birchmere. She performed a great mix of songs, both old and new. She sounded as though she had never left the stage and it made the waiting worthwhile!!

Hands down, this was an awesome show! Amy Courts really added a lot to the performance. As expected, Derek and Jennifer were amazing.

    Jennifer Knapp / Derek Webb

This is a must see show... Even after a seven year hiatus, Jennifer Knapp has returned better than ever! Not only is she incredibly talented, but the show was entertaining and funny. She did mostly new material from her upcoming album, but the older songs she performed were definitelty fan favorites!

We enjoyed the acoustic set. It was very intimate and inspiring. I'm glad JKnapp came back to prove that what she always had! She rocks!

Knapp is better than ever - 7 years later.

    by jtb2inky on 3/9/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Jennifer Knapp has proven again to be the single greatest female musician to ever come out of Christian music. Though she had not picked up her guitar in five years - you'd never know it. I had seen her in concert several times before, and her performance last night was the best ever. That being said, it is obvious that she has had great struggles and pain in her life over the years, and is dealing with questions affecting her faith. Do not come to this concert expecting the same Jennifer Knapp of the past. Each of the three musicians on stage used profane language, and there was quite a bit of anger directed toward some in the Christian community - especially from Derek Webb. I have my issues with CCM, and have no problem with Christian artists finding different methods to express themselves; however, what I do not want to see is a watering down of the faith to match contemporary secular expectations. Christian artists can reach the world, and be true to their faith. Jennifer Knapp has proven that over the years. I am not saying this to suggest Knapp has lost her faith - I don't know the struggles she's gone through, or where she stands in her relationship to God - and I am not one to haggle in gossip. I am saying this because I love and respect her music, and am praying for her in her reemergence onto the stage.
