Great show - wonderful venue. Jen was relatible, smart, and seriously funny.
I was very impressed by Jen Kirkman's show! She's very funny and really took a heckler to task! I loved it, and I will see her show whenever I can. Thanks for coming to Durham!
Jen is an amazing, hilarious comedian who is empowering and feminist af. So glad I’m on her mailing list so I didn’t miss this! The Carolina Theater was BEAUTIFUL! Would love to take in more shows there.
The first half of the show was funny then she started getting loud and running around the stage twirling her arms then she went off when booed- most comedians I have seen have learned to handle hecklers, she lost it and while i agreed with what she said to the "booer" I thought she carried on for way to long. Second half unfunny! Carolina theater terrific!
Jen Kirkman was hilarious!! It was an amazing show! Would recommend seeing her if you get the chance.
Jen Kirkman was an incredible performer & comedian!! she had me laughing the entire time. She rocked the house in Boston. I will have to pick another city to see her because she makes me feel alive!!!
Had a great time at the Wilbur as always. And Jen in her hometown is fun to watch. Great show!
Smart and funny. She's had a busy year full of changes. New material is thoughtful and funny. GO GIRL!
Jen was hilarious and the show was amazing! The whole show was great and I am so glad I got to see Jen live.
This was my first time seeing Jen Kirkman live. She has a way of selling her story in a way that is funny, sincere and with flare. My favorite of all time. Kept the audience engaged, unlike any other comic I know of. Fantastic show.
This stop was the final leg of Jen Kirkman's U.S. tour celebrating the release of her latest book of stories from her life, 'I Know What I'm Doing -- And Other Lies I Tell Myself'. In the show, she shared six stories from her life which were not featured in the book using the same wit and humour I've come to expect from her podcast ('I Seem Fun') and her Netflix special ('I'm Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine)'. Those people who will attend her shows in Toronto, Winnipeg, and Vancouver are in for a treat!
First, the opening act was great, and did about 15 minutes (the perfect amount of time). Jen came up and was hilarious throughout the next hour and a half or so. Loved it!
Both her live show (which just happened in my town, Minneapolis) and her Netflix special were high quality. You will like her if you like mainstream stand ups like Bill Burr and Louis CK. I find her stories a little more intimate and down to earth though.
Jen Kirkman was great, we enjoyed the dude before her as well
Jen Kirkman was fantastic! Hilarious and a great night. Love her!
Really great show! Really kept you engaged and had a really good flow. Loved how she tied it all together. I did think the content would me more aligned with the title of her new book, but I still loved her material! Favorite Moment - "When I tell people I don't want kids they look at me and say, oh you'll change your mind, I don't look at them when they are 8 months pregnant and tell them, 'Oh you'll change your mind!'
Very funny! She has a good connection with the audience.
First time we had seen her live and rather enjoyed. Funny show throughout and she interacted well with her crowd. Johnny D's is a great place however they sold more tickets than seats so if you show up late you loose.
Funny lady! Thanks for coming to Boston! Need I say more?
