    JLP rocks Agoura Hills

by Arnoscopy on 6/20/17The Canyon - Agoura Hills

Great show...retro to his early 70's stuff with a killer band, especially the bass player and drummer. I don't know the names of all the songs but the playing was exceptional and he was in fine form. The venue was a little weird. My party was supposed to sit at tall tables behind dinner tables up front but with 4 people and tiny tiny table they accommodated us at the front tables. Service was slow, food was mediocre and my scotch tasted watered down. Otherwise, can't beat the proximity to the stage. Sound quality was superior.

    Ponty delivers!!!

by petrofilo on 6/14/17Saban Theatre - Beverly Hills

It was an amazing show! Extremely exciting to watch such a masterful musician perform the best from his vast repertoire. A 5 man band, with truly an amazing sound and performance! They sounded just like the records; amazing! Each and every one of them is an extremely talented musician with a long and fruitful musical trajectory. And it shows! They blew me away completely. At some times during this magnificent performance, Ponty's violin and notes made me cry. It was that good and overwhelming.

    Jean Luc Ponty

by Chameleons on 6/13/17Neptune Theatre - Seattle

Truly enjoyed this talented group of musicians. Ponty has lost nothing over the years and looks like he could play for another 20. He is in great shape and the fingers fly across the strings. I wish I had practiced more in my youth, as he is an inspiration of what I had a chance to attain. I would not hesitate to go see him again.

    Meh

by AndiR on 6/11/17The Canyon - Agoura Hills

It's possible that real JLP fans will feel differently, but I thought this was a super-boring concert. There were a couple funkier numbers that were fun, but through most of it, I was wishing I was at home watching "13 Reasons Why."

    Incredible show

by JBHU on 6/7/17Saban Theatre - Beverly Hills

JLP and crew put on an amazing performance. Lots of jams from the 70-80s brought back lots of great memories. I had not seen him in over 20 yrs and at 75 he is still great. JLP is a musical genius.

    Not to be missed!

by VeeJayCee on 6/6/17Saban Theatre - Beverly Hills

I have never seen JLP in concert, but have been a fan for about 40 years. The music was awesome and the band looked like they truly enjoyed themselves! If you have the chance to go to one (or more!!) of his concerts, by all means GO!

Third time I have seen Jean Luc. This concert was far better than I could have expected. The musicians in the band are all at the top of their game. Everyone on stage looked like they were having fun. Great concert.

    Exquisite musicianship

by HtfdMusic on 11/5/15South Milwaukee PAC - South Milwaukee

I was fortunate enough to see the Better Late Than Never tour last night. The show was quite impressive. I am a fan of both musicians but was unsure how they would blend. They did a fantastic job of sharing the spotlight and offering a unique mix of music. Both Ponty and Anderson look good, and both sound great too. Even at their age they are still great performers and the show was over 2 and a half hours long with a brief intermission. I am so glad I had the opportunity to see them together. The crowd seemed to agree since they received a very enthusiastic and appreciative welcome. It was a great show!
