REDEMPTION OF A DOGG ON TOUR
Award-winning writer, director and producer Je'Caryous Johnson is once again taking the nation by storm with his new stage play, Redemption of a Dogg. The highly anticipated follow up to his sold out stage play, Set It Off, Redemption of a Dogg, stars entertainment icon Snoop Dogg and features R&B hit maker and star of WE TV's Braxton Family Values, Tamar Braxton. Redemption of a Dogg examines the internal battle one man has between preserving his life-long legacy and losing the love of his life when he is faced with choosing fame and fortune over faith and family. The play's story takes audiences on a magical music ride as they step into the captivating world of a Je'Caryous Johnson Entertainment production. Redemption of a Dogg is set against a backdrop of Snoop Dogg's greatest hits, as well as, songs from his recently released chart-topping Gospel album, Bible Of Love and makes its debut on the heels of the 25th Anniversary of Snoop Dogg's debut album, Doggystyle.
I love this play and cant wait for another one. I always live going to plays because they be so inspiring.
The play was really great!! I had no ideas what to expect and it was surprisingly different that I would have imagined.
Very pleased. Well done.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was extremely pleased with the play REDEMPTION OF A DOGG with SNOOP DOGG AND TAMAR BRAXTON and the rest of the cast !!!...truly entertaining..veRy funny and even emotional..and the music was superb...I want to see it again!!!
The play was great! I would definitely recommend going to see it.
It was a really good play. Great to see some of my favorite celebrities/musical artist (Snoop, Omar Gooding, Tamar, Eric Benet, Carl Thomas, Demetria McKinney, Lil Jay Jay). Well put together. Easy to follow the transitions. The special effects were super cool!!! Really made you feel like you were watching a big screen movie. Tamar displayed her nasty attitude during a "church" scene. She was on a "hot" mic, but Demetria was ever so classy and just sang "hallelujah" and that seemed to do the trick. ALL the singing was FANTASTIC!!!! Dancers were phenomenal!!!! I'd recommend and I would see it again!
Houston Hobby Center is a great venue for theater as well as for concerts. This was neither. As expected, the play was designed to showcase some of Snoop's music along with a story line typical of Je Caryous' writing. However, it was obvious that very little time and effort was spent in putting this play together. The plot was too predictable, strained at times and, overall, it flowed poorly throughout. If you went to see a JCJ play, you saw a disappointing example of one. If you went to see and hear SD, you got some of that but not nearly enough. If you went to look good and be seen on a balmy Saturday night in October, this was the place. Houston was looking fine last Saturday. Too bad the audience was not rewarded for it.
The show was fantastic! Even Snoop did a short concert of songs in play.
It was an awesome show. The entire cast did a great job. The theater was very nice and cozy not a band seat in the house.
Snoop Is on another Level straight from the Streets
It was a surprisingly good show. Flew in from Dallas to see the show.
I really enjoyed this play. Great cast! Loved seeing Tamar Braxton! Supporting cast was awesome! Great job!
Snoop was awesome and the play was great! Ladies dress in some comfortable shoes because it’s a lot of walking!!
I think the play was mediocre at best. Snoop Dog tried an industry that wasn’t his lane. And the performances in between the sets was off course.
The play was star studded yet lack luster. Over the last two plays Mr. JOHNSON seems to have writers who lack an art for real writing. The play was a Snoop Dog concert at best.
Oh my GOD the stage play was amazing....AMAZING!!!! People you won't be disappointed!!
The play was well written for the audience. It was exciting, fun, with a good amount of attitude from Tamar. All while giving a good message throughout without being preachy!
This play was more than I had expected. Very enjoyable and entertaining with a message that will resonate throughout the streets everywhere. The stageplay and performances were excellent along with the comical and seriousness of Snoop's story. I left as a believer in his transition. Great job Snoop!
If it's coming to a city near you get your tickets now. You won't be disappointed.
This was a really nice play. The sound system was not good at all. We missed quite a bit of what the actors were saying.
