We had a wonderful evening enjoying such great groups. It was a perfect way to start celebrating Christmas!
Went with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. What a great show! Brought back a lot of memories as to when music was really clean and enjoyable. The surprise of the night came when Jay and the Americans played My Prayer by the Platters... It was our wedding song and was totally unexpected!! We look forward to attending another event real soon.
One of the best shows I've been to. Met Gary Lewis - such a nice gentleman - so sweet that he took a few minutes to talk to me. I'll be back to see all of them again.
My wife and I have been following Jay and the Americans for years. As always they did not disappoint us. It was sad that Howie Kane had passed but the show must go on and the Americans and the band did not miss a beat. We will continue to go to their shows when they are within a couple hundred mile radius of our home as they always put on a great show.
Kirby center was a great concert hall with excellent sound quality . It felt like they put their heart and soul to the entire performance, however, you have to hear Jay sing Cara Mia to understand just how much emotion is put into their songs.
Jay and the Americans is an experience that is unforgettable, they preform so much more than expected. I recommend you see them.
The show was fantastic! Accommodations were very nice. Pleasant staff and guest services.
Terrific venue....FM Kirby center. Artists were great. A throughly fantastic show.
Sounded fantastic so many memories!! They certainly did not disappoint
Enjoyed all thier hits especially Caria Mia !!! Will take friends to see tghem if they ever come to North GA
The show was great. In addition to the music the history the group provided was fun knowledge. THe seats were comfortable and provided a great view from all seats. Parking was easy and close by. They had popcorn, candy and chips as well as soda, wine and beer available for purchase. My only complaint would be bathroom access. There are only 2 bathrooms available on the main level. There are additional bathrooms available up and down stairs, But considering that this group appealed to and older crowd the main one had very long lines of people who had difficulty with stairs. The sign allowed people in wheelchairs and walkers to cut the line, even though the people in line also needed the handicap bathroom but did not exihbit visible signs. This was frustrating that people who had trouble standing were bypassed by a group of people who were seated in wheelchairs.
Seeing Gary Lewis and the Playboys was a dream come true. My very first album was one of his. The Grass Roots stole the show though. They were absolutely fantastic!!
Loads of memories, for sure. The lead singer of Jay and the Americans was terrific. The group itself was terrific but his voice range was really good. Overall, it was so enjoyable singing along with songs that you remember the lyrics, the times, the fun of OUR Era.
This concert was the best I ever saw. All the groups were fantastic. Gary Lewis & The Playboys were great along with The Grassroots. The headliner for the concert Jay & The Americans were fantastic. I highly recommend seeing them in concert.
It was so amazing to think about the career that the 3 original Americans have had and all of the musicians that they have worked with. For their age, they still sounded great. And, we loved Jay #3....his voice was great and he just seems like such a natural with the group. The songs they sang were from all of our growing up years and we knew the words to everyone. It was truly 2 hours of delight.
Aventura Cultural Center is a cozy theater where all seats are good. Jay & the Americans tribute band was excellent. "Jay" had a powerful voice and really did sound like Jay Black. He did one song where he actually sounded like Elvis. The group did a few Roy Orbison songs that were really good. Cara Mia was great too.
show was great song choices were great voices were all very good very entertaining
Great, great show! I have been a fan since around 1965 and have seen this group several times. They always put on a great show, and this one was even better. We loved the screen with the current hit they were singing. Nice theater too.
From the moment they started singing you were back to the heydays of your youth. The memories of the songs came flashing back. It was such an enjoyable evening. Loved hearing the stories of some of the songs. I had a wonderful time and went home and listened to their music again!
They gave us a great performance with high energy and a walk back to memory lane. We would travel to see them again.
