The staff at 8 second were all so very nice and helped when needed. The venue was clean. Jmc rocked the stage for nearly 3 hours. As always love his music and just how humble he is.
Great experience. The BEST venue to see Jason! I will always make Jason @ 8 Seconds Saloon a priority concert to attend!
The show was amazing as usual. I really enjoy seeing JMC at this venue. It's always a great time.
Great time! Jason is an amazing musician but more importantly a wonderful person! So down to earth and cares greatly for each fan!!! <3
JMC has one of the most amazing voices in any genre of music. Couple that with his interaction with the crowd and you get an amazing show!
Jason Michael Carroll was outstanding like usual. He put on an amazing performance even though he was a little under the weather. He is just an outstanding, wonderful, and amazing performer. His guitar girl was killing. You go girl!!
Someone didn’t know how to do sound check. So the show was pretty awful. Couldn’t understand a thing that was being said. And when playing a song it was so loud that you’re ears would ring.
JMC is very hands on with his fans. He made everyone feel included and he did an amazing job singing and performing! Can't wait to see him again!!
This concert was one of the best I have been to. This was my first time at the Ritz. I will definitely be going back!!
Saturday night I attended The Ritz for the sold out 94.7 QDR Hometown Throwdown to benefit the North Carolina Children’s Hospital. The five set line-up were all acts from North Carolina. The evening kicked off with Greenville’s own Kasey Tyndall who is currently supporting Parmalee. This was my second show seeing her and she continues to get better at commanding the stage and is now scheduled to release her first full length album in early 2017. The second artist to perform last evening was Youngsville's own Jason Michael Carroll. The thirty-nine year old was performing in his twelfth NC Children’s Hospital benefit concert. From 2006 to the present Carroll has charted five Top 40 singles. The guy has one of the most dynamic voices in music and just listening to him once it’s easy understand why he so good. The third act of the evening was Durham’s Delta Rae. The band is not a traditional country band as they under the “official” genre of Blues Rock, Country Rock, Folk Rock and Roots Rock. It really does not matter what genre they are classified, the two siblings Ian (vocals and guitar) and Eric Hölljes (vocals, guitar, piano and keys) are solid as well as Elizabeth Hopkins (vocals), Mike McKee (percussion) and Grant Emerson (bass guitar). Both Hölljes brothers graduated from Duke University. In 2013 with the help of Lindsey Buckingham they released their single "If I Loved You”. Vocally their studio efforts are good but their stage show was outstanding. The quintet was non-stop energy even without sister Elizabeth Hopkins. They are a live act not to be missed. Former American Idol winner Scotty McCreery was the fourth act to hit the stage for the crowd of 2121 at The Ritz. The Garner native has a million dollar voice and he demonstrated it with a mix of his singles like “ Love You This Big” and “ Five More Minutes” as well as a barrage of covers of Conway Twitty, Elvis Presley and Alan Jackson. His stage presence came off as a bit conceded. McCreery has two major flaws in his career. The first is the “curse” and stigma of winning American Idol and the second is he does not play an instrument. Those two distinctions will ultimately land him in Las Vegas with Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdinck to do shows there. The family band Parmalee from the town with the same name but different spelling was the headliner at The Ritz. Most people do not realize this band has been around several years as their first album was released in 2002 and of the Rock genre. In 2013 their fifth album “Feels Like Carolina” was released and they have never looked back. Songs “Carolina”, “Close Your Eyes” and “Already Callin’ You Mine” dominated Country Music over the past few years. Tonight they brought out special guest T. Rex to play with them. Nothing fancy with these guys they just play good solid music! Overall Event was a B-
He put on an excellent show. Will definitely go see him again.
He threw an awesome show even though he was hurt! He involved all the crowd and thanked his fans several times for coming even with Garth wss in town! He was very humble and kind and I love that he stays after the show and meets his fans!!! Several times said that his fans make him who he is. Such a class act!
Whether he follows his set list or not! Jason is a true entertainer. Covered Garth, Brooks, Dunn , Prince, and Tom Petty. Doing them all proud. Truely loves his Honkey Tonk Friends and the USA!
Jason Michael Carroll always puts on a good show and this performance was no different.
Went to see Jason last Saturday night. I have seen him several times at this location but this was the best performance he has ever done there. The place was packed & everyone was loving him. I just wish I could see him perform more often and closer to my home. Thanks Jason.
Jason always puts on a great show and this was no different. This was the second time I've seen him at this venue (7th time overall). This is the only show that I've seen at the venue...but it was a lot of fun both times and drinks were reasonably priced.
Concert was great! Opening band wasn't that great. JMC rocked it out though. There were three songs though that my daughter really wanted to hear from his old album that he didn't sing. Several of his new songs were really good though.
JMC put on an amazing show as always. It was my husbands first time seeing JMC and now he understands why I have seen him 15 times.
Jason's concert was the best one I have seen. He performed for 2 1/2 hours. He had thought earlier in the week he would have to cancel b/c of being sick. It was great. He sang alot of new songs and old songs.. His performance was the best..
