    Amazing Show

by Cyndi on 5/9/22Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

Janis Ian was amazing. She sounded fantastic and Scottish Rite is such a perfect place for this type of intimate concert. There really is not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are amazing.

The show was better than I could’ve imagined. .

Like fine wine Ms Ian only gets better with age. I wish I could see her many more times before she retires.

    Still going strong!

    by P. B. on 5/8/22Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

Janis gave a wonderful performance. Her voice is still strong and her guitar work was very satisfying. I was hoping others would have joined her for more songs, but she gave a very solid show. I don’t think she should retire!:)

    Outstanding

by MS on 5/8/22Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

The venue was great and Tom Chapin & Livingston Taylor were excellent. Would have liked more than 3 songs from Tom though. But, they were just the prelude to Janis and she was wonderful. Her voice was strong and she was very funny, which was a surprise. The only negative would be that there was no piano on stage so she couldn't do some favorite songs because they don't sound the same with the guitar. A great evening & a beautiful venue.

    A night to remember

    by C. S. on 5/8/22Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

Tom Chapin's storytelling was absolutely delightful. Livingston Taylor's voice and music were wonderful. Janis Ian is an amazing force!! Her voice is as strong as ever. Her lyrics and guitar playing were phenomenal. If you have a chance to see Janis Ian in her final tour, make the time to do it! I am so glad that I decided to go to the show. My only regret is that it wasn't four hours longer, because I would have been captivated in my seat the entire time. At one point between songs, she commented on how quiet the crowd was and it was because we were entranced. She is an icon.

    Much needed night out!

by Annie on 5/8/22Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

The last time we Janis was years ago in Philadelphia, her voice is as beautiful as ever, you’ve still got it lady! We recently lost our dear dog of 13 years, and a night out was much needed. Thank you Janis Ian for putting your beautiful words to 🎼 🎶

A perfect evening with a consummate musician and storyteller

by Rudy on 5/8/22Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

If you’re here, you probably already know Janis Ian is the genuine article as a songwriter and musician. What you may not know is how crystalline her singing is, and what an underrated virtuoso guitarist she remains as well. Seeing her on this final tour is like spending 80 minutes or so with a very talented old friend. Her new songs blend beautifully with all the classics you recognize from her “Between the Lines” album and her first hit, “Society’s Child.” Although there is pathos and drama in her music and presentation - this is, after all, a fond farewell - she also tells funny jokes and relates warm anecdotes from her life and career. She is the epitome of graciousness, and shows reverence and respect for her audience. She deserves it back. At this particular show, someone called out a request which she claimed not to know how to perform. A few songs later she peppered it in to the show and nailed it, as though it had been rehearsed. It felt like magic. Do not miss this legend while you have the chance to see her in person.

    Fantabulous!

by Dr. Sam on 5/3/22Birchmere - Alexandria

I have been to two other Janis Ian Concerts at similar venues. This concert was absolutely wonderful-my seats were not all that great and I'm not fond of the open seating/general admissions arrangement that the Birchmere uses, however, the concert sound was fabulous and I always enjoy Janis Ian concerts! I'm sad that she is not going to tour anymore after this year!

    Always Special

by Asiab on 5/3/22Birchmere - Alexandria

Hearing Janis Ian is always a pleasure. Her voice is lovely and her lyrics are meaningful. It was wonderful to hear her again. And a special surprise that Tom Paxton went up on stage and sang a song with her. All in all, a great evening.

We expected a great show, we were just blown away by Janis Ian's performance - her voice is still beautifully perfect, as a guitarist - world class, and her humor and insight - spot on. We had the best evening!

    Janis Ian's show

by Bob on 4/26/22Lynn Auditorium - Lynn

Janis Ian's show was excellent. I wish it had been at a different venue....Memorial Auditorium in Lynn, Mass has substandard, uncomfortable seating space. But the music was perfect.

    An intimate evening

by Bob on 4/26/22Lynn Auditorium - Lynn

First off, the amazing things about Janis Ian are her crystal clear, clean vocals, excellent guitar work and poetic lyrics. It was all true in the mid and late 70s, when I had 4 of her albums, and it still is. For the most part the show centered on the old classics and her new album. Her focus and energy was wonderful and the crowd appreciated it. As far as the venue, the Lynn Memorial Auditorium was an intimate setting, even if the leg room between seats was substandard, bordering on uncomfortable. Tom Chapin and Livingston Taylor set up the evening capably in brief appearances. Glad I went. Janis is an entertainer, a poet, and a good person.

    EXCELLENT SHOW

by Mrs. B on 4/26/22Lynn Auditorium - Lynn

Everything about this show was great: Liv Taylor and Tom Chapin were great and funny and a wonderful reminder of past times for me. Waiting for Janis was so hard!!!!! But she sure delivered: as usual excellent and wonderful and funny and just the best. And her voice! Still sooooooo clear and beautiful. Thanks for a great night. Mrs. B
