Among the latest crop of Cubatón (aka Cuban reggaeton) players is Jacob Forever, a sly Cuban wordsmith who has captivated global audiences with his smooth-talking, down-to-earth lyrical approach. Whether he is repping his love of Cuba or cheekily spitting strategy in the game of seduction, spectators can anticipate that his shows will be nothing short of intoxicating. 

During his live performances, DJ Roumy and Nando Pro often take the turntables as they spin a riveting set of tropical urban grooves. Meanwhile, the shouty yet gravel-voiced rapper might be flanked by riveting pyrotechnics and backed by hip-gyrating dancers. What is guaranteed is that Jacob Forever's sizzling live act will trigger dance-floor hip-shaking, as in last year's Premios Juventud performance of "Quiéreme" alongside Puerto Rican reggaetonero Farruko.

About Jacob Forever 

Born in Camagüey, Cuba, in 1980, Yosdany Jacob "Forever" Carmenates immersed himself in the spirited folkloric sounds present in his hometown, and later, the burgeoning Caribbean urban soundscape — two disparate styles unified in his craft. 

Making his musical debut with Made in Cuba in the early 2000s, Jacob Forever first rode the then-nascent Cubatón wave when he joined the genre's giants Gente de Zona in 2005. The slick rhymester would then follow up with his solo debut, 2012's club tropical-doused ‘La Mafia Musical.' 

By 2015, he experienced his biggest break with viral party-starter "Hasta Que Se Seque el Malecón." Its remix — which features Farruko — would become even bigger, racking up nearly 100 million streams on Spotify. Since then, Jacob Forever's rise has practically skyrocketed, garnering more than 300 million views across his YouTube platform. Worthy collaborators also include reggaeton powerhouses De La Ghetto and Justin Quiles.
