Fast-rising Country singer/songwriter Jackson Dean is quickly earning a reputation for his old school, gritty, lyric-driven, outlaw style of Country following a breakout year that landed him on Pandora’s Ten for 2023 (all genre), Spotify’s Hot Country Artists to Watch 2023, the CMT Listen Up class of 2023, CRS New Faces 2023, Amazon Music’s 2023 Breakthrough Artists to Watch: Country Class as well as a slew of other artist to watch lists. Mature beyond his years, Jackson opted to move out to a cinderblock, concrete floor, one-room shack on the back of his grandfather’s property with no heat and no plumbing at just 18 years old. An adventurous and carefree spirit, the 22-year-old multi-instrumentalist, is also an old soul and skilled artisan whose pastimes include making leather goods, wood-burned art and disappearing into the woods to sleep under the stars. Bringing that same sense of adventure and down home vibe to his songwriting, the “modern-day Country rambler” (Taste of Country) burst on the scene, showing people how real music can be with his atmospheric, musically-forward debut album Greenbroke (out now via Big Machine Records). The Maryland native’s single, “Don’t Come Lookin’” was the fastest debut to reach No. 1 in 2022 and cemented Jackson as the youngest solo male Country artist to reach the top of the charts with a debut. Landing spots on the Billboard Hot 100, the soundtrack for Netflix’s The Ice Road and a John Dutton scene in Yellowstone. His sophomore single, “Fearless (The Echo)” is currently climbing the Country radio charts after being Most Added upon impact. Following an early career of local performances in his hometown, Jackson has joined bills with superstar acts like Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brantley Gilbert, Kane Brown, Jake Owen, Brooks & Dunn, Lee Brice, HARDY and Brothers Osborne and found himself on the bill for credible events like Austin City Limits and Stagecoach. The young talent just kicked off the Back to the Honky Tonk Tour with Blake Shelton and Carly Pearce and will join dates with Eric Church and Parker McCollum later this year.
Jackson Dean is tremendous. I didn’t like the opening singers though.
The concert was amazing. The staff at the Filmore at Silver Spring, Maryland were all great.
Jackson Dean is worth seeing.,...........................
The Fillmore Silver Spring sucked. I've seen him other places and he was better.
Love Jackson Dean! What a voice! Saw him in Chandler Az. Play his songs on repeat. Obsessed with Greenbroke. Wings, Fearless, Don’t Take Much, Trailer Park are favs. Really I just love the album. He definitely “has it all”!
Amazing voice. Obsessed with Greenbroke. Wings, Fearless, Don’t Take Much, Trailer Park are favs. Just love the album. Jackson Dean “has it all”.
Went to see Jackson Dean at Bogart's in Cincinnati. Getting a pre-sale code from Ticketmaster made the process so easy. Love Jackson Dean and Bogart's. Will be back for sure.
Jackson Dean was an amazing show!!! If you have never listened to his music you are missing out!
The opening acts took far too much time. The first opener, May, was obviously talented. The sound in the venue was not very good so we didn’t get to appreciate r as much as she deserved. The 2nd opener didn’t take stage until nearly 9. That band has yet to find its voice. We left after their 3rd song.
4th time seeing Jackson Dean. This was the best time by far. Close, smaller venue and he played way more songs than the last times since he was an opener then. Glad to hear he has new stuff coming out.
First experience at the Brooklyn bowl. Openers for Jackson Dean, Mae Estes & Dee White, are incredible! One of a kind. Entertaining. JD’s voice will NOT DISAPPOINT!!
He made you feel like you were the only person he was singing to. Really enjoyed the show!
I will have to try and see Jackson Dean at another venue. The 8 Second Saloon ruined this entire show. The music was so loud that it was mind numbing. And I like loud music. I don't know the people who were in charge of the setup and mixing...but it was bad. The lead vocals had so much bass in the mix that Jackson sounded like the teacher from The Peanuts cartoons. I Think I made out about 10 words the entire night. I even moved around the facility to try and see if it would sound better. That would be a big NOPE. They tried to push too much sound out of the little PA system they had that it came out sounding like mush. Even when the music was not playing you could barely tell what anyone was saying. If it was Jackson Deans people running the board, then they have some learning to do. I guess I won't be going back to the 8 Second for another show.
The venue was perfect with the dance floor and great food. It was a good size place and not a bad view no matter where you were. The performance was fantastic, and music that hits home. That young man knows music and has a bright future ahead of him. Would recommend going to anyone that asked because I plan on going again as well.
Loved the show that Jackson Dean and his band put on. All the musicians were amazing and the energy the equipment sound guy had was infectious! We will definitely be going to more of his shows.
If you get a chance to see Jackson Dean live, do yourself a favor and make it happen. Unbelievable experience!
Everything I want from a live performance with the feel of being in a dive bar.
Jackson Dean did not disappoint. He puts on an amazing show!
Great venue and the show was awesome. Great service!
St. Andrew’s Hall is small but very nice. Jackson Dean is simply amazing. This is our second time seeing him and he doesn’t disappoint.
