I've seen J Roddy twice before this show, both times were great! But, this show was horrible!! We left early because the sound was that bad. The band was still as high-energy as ever, but whoever was in charge of their sound was not on their game. Such a bummer, this was my first night out in awhile and I was looking forward to a good show!!
J. Roddy absolutely killed it. Tons of energy. Took some friends that had never heard the music before and they loved it. Will go next time they are in town.
These guys are no fluke. Second time I have seen them and they didn't disappoint!
Loved the opener local band Personal Public! Declan McKenna was brilliant! Can't believe he is only 17 years old! The DMAs were so good I downloaded their music off ITunes that night! Best Coast is one of my favorite bands right now and I love Bethany and Bob! J Roddy Walston and the Business totally rocked and had the crowd in a frenzy and crowd surfing! Express Live is an amazing venue! Late Night Slice Pizza and Blue Moon and Leinenkugal Summer Shandy on tap, awesome! Only two suggestions, need the orange slice for the Blue Moon and Nachos would be nice! Loved it!
The show on Friday was terrific. But then again, they always are!

Awesome, energetic, frenetic, mind blowing goodness. What’s not to like about JW& Biz? Nothing, they always kick ass and always leave me wanting more. Now if only I knew what the second to last song was…

Super spectacular performance but even more amazing crowd. I only give it a 4 because the vocals were kind of drowned out by the instruments but had a blast.
I happened to be walking by the stage these guys were playing on at the Newport Folk Fest to get to a band I wanted to see on another stage. As soon as I heard them, I stopped and stayed for the whole set. Within a week of returning home, I bought tickets to their show and they did not disappoint. Great band, great sound and really fun live show.
Awesome show, especially loved the chiseled blonde guy with the beard and unbuttoned shirt who was dancing on the second level.
you must see this band live. It's hard to say who gets more pumped and gives more between the band and the crowd. The energy is incredible and the music is pure gold.
I've seen them play many many times and this was, by far, the best show yet! Fly Golden Eagle (opening act) was quite impressive too!
J. Roddy Walston and the Business took the stage at 9:15 and it was all business. I had seen them earlier in the year up in Portchester with Lucero, while I enjoyed the show enough to see them again, this energy level was a completely different experience. The Roddy fans in attendance knew all of the songs word for word, and the band responded with a high octane set. Billy Gordon's guitar and J. Roddy's piano playing stand out, if you haven't seen this band they are worth a listen. With the exception of their new "Coors Light" commercial (Sweat Shock), they have managed to stay under the radar in many circles. They have crafted a stage presence through the years that demands fans interact with them and the give and take is great to see. I will be watching to see what the future brings J. Roddy, but the next time they come to New York, simply check them out...you won't be disappointed
J Roddy put on one of the best concerts I have ever been to! It was loud, it was rowdy and it was a hell of a great night! Would have paid ten times the amount they were asking :)
J Roddy Walston & The Business put on an amazing show, full of energy and crowd interaction. The whole venue was singing, dancing, and jumping around the entire set. Don't miss it!

Thoroughly enjoyed the concert. JRod is the man. Excellent music. Can't get enough. Can't wait for the next concert.
