This was my first visit to the state fair and a demolition derby. it was great fun for me and my girlfriend, whom i didn't expect would get so pumped up by metal mish-mash. truck demolition was intense. i did hope for monster truck appearances, but i guess not in this one. definitely a must see for first timers, and for having a good time as a group.
For my first demo derby as well as the first for my 7 and 11 year old boys, we were impressed by the number of cars involved, the great announcing, and the entertainment. The grandstands protected us from the rain but allowed for a muddy field which made the event even better. Even watching the sledge hammer crew at work on the tie rods was cool in between the heats. Overall, a nice couple of hours of enjoying good old fashion smash mouth demolition.
it was freakin great!!! I think i liked it more than my son.
Car crashes, driver fights and mayhem. I want to go to J & J Demolition Derby every day!
Action packed demolition derby. Pich up truck demolition was great. Fun way to end the summer.
