The islands of Hawaii are not only the biggest influence on IRATION's sound they are home to all
of its members. IRATION was born from a love of all types of music and a desire to create
something new. Elements of reggae, rock, and pop are mixed with keyboard/synth and melodic
vocal lines to create something truly unique. IRATION is best heard in a live setting where you
can truly experience the full spectrum of their range. They have proven to truly have an
understanding of modern and traditional performance techniques that keep young and old fans'
hands in the air and heads bobbing.
In 2007, they recorded and released their first full length album, No Time for Rest, which
featured one of the last recorded performances by reggae legend Mikey Dread, who produced
accomplished musicians such as The Clash and UB40. Since then IRATION has released several
more recordings: Sample This EP, Time Bomb LP, and Fresh Grounds EP - which included several
songs that had much radio success (Time Bomb LP's "Turn Around" spent ten weeks at #1 on San
Diego's 91X FM) that boosted the band's popularity and opened the door for TV and other
media placements. They have been lucky enough to share stages with Kings of Leon, 311,
Incubus, Bush and many other talented acts in venues such as Santa Barbara Bowl and The
Wiltern Theater, as well as at events such as Cypress Hills Annual Smoke Out Festival, West
Beach Music Festival and Sunset Strip Music Festival.
After wrapping up their 2011 summer, which included festival performances at Lollapalooza,
Wakarusa, and 91X X Fest, IRATION continues to tour relentlessly and looks forward to
embarking on their 2nd annual Lei'd Back Tour this fall. These Hawaiian-raised naturally talented
musicians look forward to spreading their original sound, aloha spirit, and cutting edge surf
culture as far as possible and continuing to make original music.

Iration is a very talented band, one of the best of the modern era, will see again!
Iration is so much fun and put on a great show. My only complaint is that some of the people in the crowd were drunk and pushing throug the crowd. I expect peace and love and good vibes...kinda sad.
I’ve seen Iration 4 times and I’ve never been disappointed. Sound quality is amazing. The band is so fun.
While we assumed the two openers would also be Reggae , we were not entirely disappointed that they weren’t. Artikal sound system was pretty good! Had NO DOUBT vibes. Iration killed it just as we knew they would and we really enjoyed the evening. Wish Iration would’ve been on for longer. However, I am not going to lower the rating due to that because they put on a heckuva show. Will see them again next time they were here in town!
I had tix to see Iration ten years ago at this same venue, Iron City in Bham. Unfortunately they had to cancel. They made good on their word and returned. I think they are one of a handful of bands that sound better live than on their records. Definitely didn't disappoint and it worked out in the end with a decade more of music thrown into the show. Really enjoyed the improv jam sessions to tunes from Smells Like Teen Spirit, Seven Nation Army, etc. 10/10 would see again.
I’m excited and I’m looking forward to the event. Representing our beautiful island o Guam all the way from H-Town. Let’s do this Rebolution & Iration🌺🤙🏽
Great venue! Love Iration. I love the venue is outside however, I wish they wouldn’t allow smoking at the seats! Not everyone smokes and it gives us a headache.
Have to start by saying that I love the Five Points venue, and I love Iration as well! But I was extremely disappointed in this concert. Love reggae, but absolutely hate rap. I mistakenly assumed all the openers (3 of them) were reggae. NOT! It was all rap music and Iration didn't come on until 9:30pm. I sat through 3.5 hours of terrible music (if you can call it that). Then Iration only played a little more than one hour. I bought expensive seats because I love this band. But by the end, I was exhausted, disappointed, and just wanted to go home.
Had a great night. Showed up late and had no trouble getting in. Have plenty of stands to get beer. Noticed they got more food trucks. Really good food. Loved the deep fried Oreos. My bf hates crowds but if it’s a concert at Irvine he’ll go.
The venue was fine. What really disappointed us is that Iration played for only approx. 80 minutes. It is the shortest main act I have ever seen. It really bummed us out and we feel ripped off.
They were awesome as always! Great venue , very spacious and well organized. Great show!
The venue was great. However the sound design that evening was awful. The bass was so loud it completely drowned out the rest of the music. The bass was hitting us and you could feel it hitting your chest. I’ve seen Iration before and this time was just a really bad experience. I hope that Five Points gets a new sound guy. I know I wasn’t the only one who was disappointed and upset about it.
Third time seeing them, and always blown away with how well the show sounds and the performance. Ten out of ten will see every time they come to boise even in the middle of the week.
This was my second time seeing Iration at the same venue and it was amazing! I love these fellas, the show was great! The opening bands were very good as well!
Who starts a concert at 5:30 in a heat wave? We had to rush home from work and ended up missing the first 2 acts. It was crazy hot, and the beer line situation was ridiculous- a looooong line for a wristband….followed by a loooonnng line to get tokens to buy the beer, then you guessed it - the lonnnngest line for beer. Ended up in line for beer for 1/2 of Atmosphere which is who we wanted to see the most. Performers did great it was just everything else about the venue. One last thing - we waited in a very long line for merch at the end - for what appeared to be the atmosphere/oration shared booth - when we finally got to the front and asked for an atmosphere shirt we were told we were in iration line - so we couldn’t get anything for atmosphere without going back to another line. It was too hot and at that point we were over it so we missed out on that. So I guess if there’s specific lines for the bands - um- maybe put signs up IN the line areas indicating that? Overall I Felt like I paid $80 a ticket just to wait in endless lines in 104 heat
Iration was amazing! The sound for Atmosphere was terrible. I've seen them before and they are good live. The sound was very distorted and out of balance during their performance. It was unfortunate because they have a really good sound. As usual, lines for token and drinks were way too long! Tokens should ease the time in the drink lines but at this venue, that doesn't work for some reason. ID checkers were hard to find. All staff were very friendly though--they are doing their best.
I did not like the opening band, Atmosphere, at all. I do not listen to rap music and thought it was a strange choice to have this band tour with Iration. I enjoyed watching Iration in person for the first time, but I felt the bass was too loud and overpowered the lead singer’s voice. I could not hear the lyrics for most of the songs. The overly strong bass diluted the beauty of their music for me.
The second opening act went on far too long and the style of the music didn’t align with the type of music I was hoping to see.
My 1st time at this outdoor event and I will be back.
