Brilliant, An Absolute Riot!
by MX69com on 9/18/25Rating: 5 out of 5We caught Ian Bagg's show at the Tempe Improv in Phoenix, and holy smokes, it was hands-down one of the best comedy nights we've ever had. From the moment he hit the stage, Ian's energy was electric – that fast-paced, multi-directional style they hype up is no joke. He turns the whole room into his playground, pulling audience members into the act like they're old pals at a bar. What makes Ian stand out is how he flips the script on stand-up: forget monologues, this guy's all about the dialogue. He weaves in stories from his wild life – growing up Canadian, that explosives engineering background (yes, really!), and his JRE shoutout as "dangerously flawless"– but it's the spontaneous crowd work that had us howling. One bit had a guy from Scottsdale spilling his dating disasters, and Ian riffed it into gold. The whole theater was in stitches, and yeah, I totally get why people book multiple shows in a weekend. It's that addictive mix of unfiltered wit and improv magic. The venue was spot-on too – cozy setup at Tempe Improv, great sound, food and the drinks flowed easy. If you're in Phoenix and miss this, you're sleeping on comedy nirvana. Ian Bagg is a must-see; 5 stars aren't enough – I'd give it 10 if I could. Go get your Bagg swag before he sells out again!
