About

I PREVAIL IN CONCERT:

Post-hardcore punks I Prevail haven't let up since they first grabbed fans' attention with their incendiary cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" in 2014. The band sets itself apart from the pack with a unique mix of raw punk energy, catchy hooks, and electronic textures, and in concert it all gets turned up to 11 with mosh pit-inspiring standouts like "Crossroads", "Love, Lust, and Liars", and "The Enemy". Clean singer Brian Burkheiser carries the melodies on their calm segments before screamer Eric Vanlerberghe unleashes the beast on their savage breakdowns. It's a yin-yang approach that never fails to fire up crowds at their infectiously high-energy live shows. For their Strike the Match Tour in 2016, I Prevail is teaming up with The White Noise and My Enemies & I to bring their memorable choruses and hard-hitting tones to ticket buyers across North America.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Since they first came together in Southfield, MI in 2013, I Prevail has quickly gone from local favorite to viral sensation. The group – initially comprised of Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (scream vocals), Steve Menonian (lead guitar), Jordan Berger (rhythm guitar), and Lee Runestad (drums) – immediately started recording demos following their first rehearsals. Things took off when they released their post-hardcore version of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", which received over 20 million views on YouTube and was featured on the compilation Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6. Their 2015 debut EP Heart Vs. Mind garnered more attention for the group, helping them land opening spots for artists like Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil. I Prevail thrilled fans with the announcement of their headlining Strike the Match Tour in 2016, where they brought venues like the Tabernacle to capacity all across the U.S. and Canada.

  • Awesome venue, really fun concert

by Tess on 9/12/22Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Asbury park was such a wonderful venue, we got in quick, it was easy, wristbands for over 21, it was very easy. It was also beautiful near the beach and the nice breeze from the water was felt, the sound was very loud but expected from a punk concert. I would recommend headphones especially if you’re going to be standing up front. There is also some good food (a little on the expensive side so definitely eat beforehand) but overall the food is decent. Me and my group technically went to see pierce the veil (which was awesome) but the main band I prevail was a pleasant surprise, I only really know one of their songs from a friend but they’re actually a really cool group. 10/10 would recommend the place, and the groups perfomaning. Everything was really cool.

Great show!!! The music. The atmosphere. Everything. I would go see them 1000 more times!

  • Smoking

by J. M. on 9/11/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great. I Prevail is one of if not my favorite band. It's a nice venue too. Only issue i had was the smoking. I think an improvement on security would do well here, considering there are "no smoking" signs everywhere, but no one really enforeces that. It was difficult to enjoy the show, or have fun moshing with all the smoke in the air. Maybe some food could be sold in the venue as well?

  • awesome

by Preston on 8/17/19House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

best venue hands down as always. sound and lighting was perfect. we had a young man and his girlfriend shoving a bunch of us in between us and got very aggressive with a bunch of us. security saw the problem and removed them quickly. safety is very important obviously. great great show!

20 Monroe is a great GA venue. Security does a great job and the beer prices while high are not bad. The bands were all fantastic and put on a great show.

by Armyblkhawk on 8/12/1920 Monroe Live - Grand RapidsRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! Never heard of Justin Stone, but will definitely be seeing him in Lansing. IPrevail just killed it, seen them 4 times and this was the best yet. Very refined. Instrumentally underated as a band. Thanks again! Youve come a long way from getting put in a headlock at common ground festival for crowd surfing! Haha

  • Most Mellifluous

by Ron on 8/12/19Egyptian Room at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I am 43. They say that Rock n Roll is dead. They say nothing will be able to replace the metallicas and gnr's of yesterday. Then you hear I Prevail. No, Rock is not dead. Its alive and doing well and this band is proof. There are some other bands, but this one may lead the way someday. Truly amazing.
