    I am King concert

by Nita on 10/30/22Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

Was way too loud, vibrated your behind in your chair. He grabbed his crotch too much, constantly! Was ok, but didn't really look like he was singing, maybe pantomiming.

    Disappointing

by Jen on 10/30/22Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

We were disappointed in the show. “Michael” seems to forget words to over half the songs. Also the vocals were off a majority of the time. If you enjoy continuous crotch grabbing and out of tube singing. Then this show is for you.

    Mediocre

by Reviewer on 10/30/22Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

Part of the issue is they have a stage with a TV on the back and a significant portion of the seats can’t see it. On the stage TV they played videos that I couldn’t see from my seats. They have some TVs on the outside of the stage but they didn’t play the same things. Plus the show to me did not seem to have the energy I would expect from Michael. I ended up leaving before it was done.

    VERY VERY BAD

by Johnny on 10/28/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

Show started 30 minutes late, he left the stage twice during the first song. You can also tell he was lip singing. Music was TOO loud plus you could here The real Michael Jackson in the back ground. I would never recommend this show to anyone. What a waste of time and money!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM KING - A Tribute to Michale Jackson

by CarleenAz on 10/26/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

Michael Firestone does an excellent job of portraying Michael Jackson. He has all the dance moves. His voice is amazingly like Michael Jackson. The show is a fun family friendly concert. The back up artists are also very talented. I have been to this show several times in different cities. I recommend seeing this show if you want a great performance of a Michael Jackson tribute.

    Worst Show Ever

by L McLaughlin on 10/26/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

The show was in a conference room, not a theatre and therefore the acoustics were awful. The reverb on the bass was horrific. The chairs were setup all on the same level and practically on top of one another. When we got to our seats there was a already a fairly large couple sitting in the adjoining seats so only about half of my seat was available. One of the other members of our party could not see since all the seats in front of us were on the same level, therefore we spent the entire show standing on the side. The drummer played the exact same beat for every song. The performer song very little of the songs, he either had the audience sing or the backup singers, when he did sing you could not make out any of the words. For several songs you could tell he was lip syncing but at least for those songs you could make out the words. Reviews state that he has performed for over 25 years including at Rio in Vegas, which I find hard to believe. We saw at least a dozen people leave before the first hour was over. This was absolutely the worst show I have ever been to. Based on the venue I will not be attending any future shows at this venue (We-Ko-Pa Casino)

Acoustics at this venue was horrible.

by Scary Karen on 10/25/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

I looked so forward to seeing this show. I do not really know if this was a good show or not. The sound was so bad. This is a convention center. Not set up for sound. What I could hear of Michael Firestone was good. Talk about disappointment. Venue needs to improve accoustics.

    Horrible

by PB on 10/25/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

The worst thing we have ever seen. Couldn’t hear the singer over the band. Never seen so many get up and leave early as we did.

    Worst Ever

by Scott H on 10/24/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

We had high expectations and where sorely disappointed. This is the first time I ever left a concert early. The sound system was so bad we could not even recognize the songs. The theatrics where terrible. My high school could put on a better performance with no practice. We encountered an onslaught of others who also left early. Money wasted.

    I am King???

by DenaeG on 10/24/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

So I was excited for this show but unfortunately very disappointed. The music didn’t sound that great. There was some lip singing. A lot of repetition in dance moves. His makeup was coming off and he really should loose his beer belly if he’s going to impersonate MJ. Supposedly been doing this for 25 years and I don’t see how. Unless he was better when he was younger. Would never pay for it again and would not tell my friends to waste there money. I think it’s time for him to retire.

    Not what I expected!

by KD on 10/24/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

This concert, IMO, was not what I was expecting. It wasn’t good, at all! Maybe the clothes were similar to what the great Michael Jackson wore, but that’s about it. The base was turned up so loud that you couldn’t hear the lyrics! We watched many people walk out. If we hadn’t struck up a convo with the people next to us, we would’ve left. Also thought, based on the seating chart, that the floor was elevated, like stadium seating, it wasn’t. Therefore, looking in between heads wasn’t great. The 2 screens were placed that we saw the drummer & guitarist. Not what we paid for! BTW, the female guitarist was great, along with her voice, unlike the King.

MJ Tribute Show - Michael Firestone

by GlendaleAZMan on 10/24/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

Michael Firestone headline the Michael Jackson Tribute for a 2-Night (10/21/22, 10/22/22) gig at the We-job-pa Casino in Fountain Hills, AZ. My wife and I attended the Friday night show. This was our first time attending his show, and the first time at the Casino. The production was held in the makeshift Convention Center of the Hotel/Casino project. We had a great seat in the middle section. At the start, the sound in the building was terrible. The Drummer was really good but was too loud overshadowing what appeared to be something wrong with Firestone’s microphone. Then Firestone started complaining about his pants saying something like “Don’t buy pants at Target”. Then he alluded to having to change his pants in between songs. His appearance was about 15-20 pounds heavier than MJ. At times, his vocals were off-key. His supporting cast consisting of Guitar, Drummer, Organ and 2 side dancers were good. Although, I have to say that the Guitar Player (Aurielle) was exceptional and amazing as she saved the night with some solid solo performances. The drummer sat in front of a video screen which provided the real MJ highlights of his life. By the second half of the show the microphone issue appeared to be resolved. Firestone’s moves were spot-on to MJ. The majority of those in the audience were over 50, so the audience participation was fair to none. Overall, I give the show a ‘C-‘. The venue is not conducive for singing entertainment. The acoustics were terrible. The chairs were awful and small. Firestone gave it his best shot, but his production was far from Vegas like. Unless the Casino spends money to upgrade their Entertainment Venue, I no won’t be seeing anymore shows at the We-ko-pa Casino!

Definitely not MJ - Poor performance

by Mitchel on 10/24/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

Looks like MJ but the drums and music was so loud you couldn’t hear him sing. Very bad. Took a lot of clothes changing which I understood but when he went off stage it was basically quiet. More like a high school performance

    Mediocre Show

by NRE on 10/24/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

Was looking forward to this show knowing the performer had been doing it in Las Vegas for 20 some years. However my group was disappointed. The performer had the moves and clothes down very nicely, but the sound system ruined the performance. He would sing and there was suppose to be some background vocals, but you couldn't really hear them so it would sound like he just sang and then nothing. The drums overpowered a lot of the songs. The female guitarist was great and had a great voice, also. We stayed for the entire performance but we noticed that many people did not. I think the show has potential, but needs a better sound arrangement to make it work. Also the videos that played were good, but not big enough.

    Disappointed

by Baby on 10/24/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

Lacked the glizt of a good show. First of all "Michael" has a gut, wore a cup which was moving on him. Show is of state fair quality. Even my sis said it didn't have the bang to it. Not worth the money we paid.

    I king

by Debbie on 10/24/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

Extremely disappointed...music was too loud..he left stage too many times..when he sang he was off key..didn't recognize most songs til they were almost over. He has the moves, look and clothes. He should have lip synced to Michael's voice. Total waste of money. People were leaving after a few songs.

    Terrible

by Tess on 10/24/22We-Ko-Pa Conference Center - Fort McDowell

Attended the concert with 2 other couples. The base was so loud you could not hear the singing. It was a waste of time and money. We all walked out and the door attendants were apologizing to everyone as they left. I’m not sure how many stayed but not allot I am sure.
