Baby-faced country star Hunter Hayes may be young, but he can hang tough with the best of 'em come showtime. The talented singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist is a one man powerhouse, playing virtually every instrument and assuming production duties on his self-titled No. 1 debut. His precocity extends to the stage, where his silky croon and boyish good looks are matched by his equally impressive energy and showmanship. Hayes knocked fans' socks off at his shows in 2013, and with a sophomore album set for release in 2014, his upcoming tour dates are sure to be no different.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Hunter Hayes got an early start in music, taking up the accordion at age two and giving his first performances at age four. By age seven he had performed for Bill Clinton at the White House, and by age 13 he was singing away on America's Most Talented Kids. These would be end-of-career highlights for many performers, but for Hayes they were just the beginning. After opening for Taylor Swift on tour and penning songs for country icons Rascal Flatts, Hayes released his self-titled, self-produced debut album in 2011. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and spawned several chart-topping singles, including his first No. 1 "Wanted." Since then, Hayes has racked up more awards and accolades than most performers twice his age, including a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and a CMT Artist of the Year award.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
" Hunter Hayes is fabulous live. He was such a great showman. Used the space incredibly well. Even my friend who doesn't like country loved the show."
"Hunter Hayes was so adorable, all I can say is that this show was for all ages and I would recommend it to anyone. He is so full of energy and puts on a great show that includes the audience!"
" He had so much energy... He didn't stop bouncing and jumping around for the entire 2 hours & 20 minutes he was on stage. Impressed by the length of the show, the clarity of the music and overall mood/attitude of the evening."
It was a great show, great set list and a great venue.
I got to meet new fans and his team! I also enjoyed every minute of this show.
Hunter was amazing! Great energy and a wonderful man!
I really enjoyed this concert and that it was in one of the smaller rooms at Old National where you could be closer to the artist. Very fun concert!! Only issue was trying to figure out where the room was in the building. Eventually someone helped us!
Hunter Hayes had an impressive live performance 10 years ago at birthday bash and I was so excited to see he was back on tour. I attended his show in Grand Rapids and I was 110% amazed by his increasingly impressive live performance. So much so, I had to make the 4 hour hike to Indianapolis for a second show the same week! I can’t wait to see him again! 10/10 performance and I love how much he engages with his crowd and how much he genuinely cares.
To say that I was looking forward to this show is a gross understatement. My wife and I reconnected after 30 years apart, largely over the song "I Want Crazy". Something about it rekindled a childhood dream in us both. Thank you Hunter! And thanks Ticketmaster for hosting him in an intimate room. One of the best nights of our lives :)
Listen up !!! Hunter Hayes is incredible and you need to get out and see his show when he’s in a venue near you . Under appreciated guitar player and an amazing songwriter . Music that touches on something we have all experienced at some point in our lives and is relatable . Very down to earth and approachable guy , who obviously loves what he does and it shows .
Its been 9 years since I seen his concert and it was worth it I loved it
This was my 5th time seeing him and it truly gets better ever time. Puts on a great show. Best birthday gift to myself.
Queeva who opened was wonderful...Hunter really fabulous...a great night for all who attended!
Sooo love me some Hunter Hayes. Have been a fan from the beginning, so was sooo excited to hear he was coming back to Columbus, OH. Opening act, Queeva was amazing as well.
Hands down the best concert i’ve been too! Been a fan since 2011 and i finally got the chance to see him live and i was not disappointed. The sound check was amazing, interacted with fans and sang requested songs. Even during the actual concert he was still interacting with the crowd and talking to us. Literally such an amazing human being and if i could go to every show of his i absolutely would, it’s definitely worth it!
So in Detroit was my third Hunter Hayes concert. It was probably the smallest but I think it was maybe one of my favorites. His voice is so amazing his songwriting skills are top-notch. I haven't had a chance to listen to his new album and it is still excellent. His connection with the audience is just top notch because he is real with us and that makes it relateable. I really enjoyed the experience. And as always we'll go see him again.
Great concert! The venue was very nice, but even though it was general admission It would have been nice to have more chairs for people to sit down. Their was plenty of room.
His concert was freaking awesome and crazy. I would love to go to another concert of his. I really enjoyed his music and how funny he is
My Boyfriend Hunter always puts on the best show. His voice was amazing and he took the time after to meet some of his fans.
This is my 8th time seeing Hunter Hayes and it still feels like the first time. He absolutely knows how to put on a show. You can tell he really cares about music and his fans. He’s is and always has been a great show!
This was my second show of his & it was just as wonderful as the first concert!!
It was fun at first but the merch booth was up some stairs and since I’m in a wheelchair I couldn’t go get it. I had to have my mom come in and get it for me
Hunter Hayes was awesome and enjoyed the show very much. However, standing for 5 hours straight was so uncomfortable and I will never attend another show at the Summit as I am too old to stand in a crowded room on hard cement for so very long.
