The HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series is one of the most dynamic global sporting events on the market, featuring the dynamism of sevens rugby, paired with a spectacle of entertainment and fan engagement that is second to none.
The 2019 Series will include ten tournaments held around the world, in which 16 national sevens teams compete for World Series points at each round. The HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series is culminated with a champion being crowned at the end of the season based on accumulated points.
There's sporting events. And then there's sevens.
HSBC Canada Sevens Vancouver will be the sixth stop on the 2019 series, played on March 9-10 at world renowned BC Place Stadium. Fans will be able to watch the dynamism of sevens rugby paired with a fun, festival experience. Don't miss out!

The short matches and reduced roster made this break-open style rugby very exciting. I was impressed with the Canadian and American teams, cheering my nations on, but enjoyed watching the different countries and regions Bring their competition to the field as well. The most entertaining portion those was the crowd and all the various cistumes and themes. People really had fun at this event! .

I have attended the HK 7's and this was a very different vibe, much more about the rugby than the party... and the costumes were more subdued, but it was also cold and rainy outside. As it was the inaugural event for the Canada 7's there were some hiccups, but nothing major: - No beer sales until 11, then only limited until 1 (probably the biggest issue) - beer lines were long due to limitations on how many you could buy - we had a Host intentionally kick a full beer over, but after raising to the supervisor it was taken care of. - GA vs non-GA seating was not obvious

We went with people who had never seen a rugby game before and they loved the fast paced action of it. Now they are hooked. A wonderful tournament - highly recommend.
