I had a great time at the Howard Hewett concert. I would have had a better time if my boyfriend was not with me. ;-)
He can sing his heart out ! Always a good show when Howard is performing. ❤️❤️
Howard is one of the few music superstars who sounds just as good “live” as he does in the “studio.” Can’t wait until he returns to the area!
The comedians were excellent and Howard Hewett was amazing!!
Well done. Just wasn't what I expected. Enjoyed the first half. The guest I brought was not impressed so we left.
The concert lacked organization early. Gerald Austin ended up carrying the show, The orchestra was barely used. I really wanted to hear the strings in Children of the Night. Howard Hewett tried to do too much with his songs. All he needed to do is sing. Instead I ended up wanting his show to be over.
The show was amazing! Three lead singer's, band and orchestra. Multiple genre's of music. Well done!
Valentine Day concert was totally enjoyable with all the 4 lineup guests of Jonathan Butler, Paul Taylor, Michael Lington and Howard Hewitt. Amazing Jonathan Butler...loved him!!!
Everyone was fantastic.. grooving with the music... The people that worked at the venue where very nice as well
The concert was fabulous! The long walk to get to dinner, not
Dinner was blah but waitstaff 4 stars! Howard Hewitt was mediocre, the jazz artist more than made up for him. He changed clothes 3 times for 4 songs. Anyhow venue was Excellent! I didn't smell pot once all evening! This event definately drew a more mature crowd. Great evening.
The show was excellent. All performers were awesome, Paul Taylor, Jonathan Butler, Michael Lington and Howard Hewitt. Music was so incredibly uplifting and moving we had some church up in the Terrace theatre that night.
The combination of Smooth Jazz and the R & B sounds of Howard Hewitt was great!
Beautiful venue, reminds me of The Met kind of (not as opulent of course, but very nice). However, the acoustics (maybe a function of the setup, I don't know) were horrible. It was almost impossible to clearly hear / understand anything that was said. The music was echoing too much, just not clear either. Too bad...
An amazing performance by musicians. My husband and I enjoyed it so much.
The concert started about 1 hour late. However, when it started, it was great! Cherelle opened up the show with great singing, laughter, and dialog. Alexander O'Neal did his thing, Howard Hewett swooned the crowed, Al Hudson and One Way funked the crowd up, and of course, SOS Band did their thing. The only drawback (besides starting 1 hour late) was that SOS Band was unable to finish their set because of the late concert start.
They started an more than an hour late. They started doing mic check at 9pm. Then Cherrell didn't have a band, it was horrible! Never again!
Don't think it was the artist's fault, but the sound was poor, with a ton of mic feedback. Delay in opening the show and big gaps between artists, where people left and the festive atmosphere dropped . SOS Band were supposed to be on stage for the midnight countdown but didn't come on until well after and were cut off after about 5 songs due to time. And no balloon drop as advertised. Only giving this a fair rating as the artists were worthwhile.
Thoroughly enjoyed the concert despite 1st Artist not on stage until 2 hours into the concert. The D.J. jammed all night! Could have had a dance floor!! Alex was fabulous; Howard was great! I had to leave since I had sitter and didn't know concert would go past 11 p.m.
A lot of bang for the buck. Everyone sounded great. This event was for the grown and sexy.
