How Sweet the Sound contest concert was AWESOME!

by Poeticprophet on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

The concert was great. Karen Clark Sheard's voice is amazing..... WOW! I really appreciated that. :) Cee Cee Winan's is so beautiful and graceful. I just love her. Donald Lawrence, Preach Black man! I almost fell out. I loved it when the Pastor / choir director fell out at the end of their performance. Also Compton's choir, and the choir director with the shiny shoes, last note "soul" - fab-u-lous! Everything was great!

    Powerful Event

    by Moses49 on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

For $5.00 I got to see some great choirs competing and some of the great Gospel recording artist live on stage performing and judging the competition. The show was amazing and the judges (who also performed) kept the crowd laughing and fired up for God.

The choirs were amazing and full of talent. There was not a dull moment all night. Special guest performances as well. And Marvin Sapp's performance had me in tears. Cant wait until next year.

    HOW SWEET THE SOUND

by Necey on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

Just wonderful!! Everything was great. The spirit was in the house!! When BeBe came as the surprise guest, it really added a special blessing. The choirs put it down. And of course, Fred Hammond, Karen Clark Sheard, the mighty Marvin Sapp, and Donald Lawrence were spectacular. Please continue showcasing the wonderful talent in Choirs and directors that the Lord want to bless us with.

How Sweet the Sound Finale was very uplifting

    by DonnieB96 on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

I have been to all the How Sweet the Sound local performances in Detroit and 2 of the finales. And I do believe that this will be a family annual event. Even though the spirit was the highest in Detroit, it was still an awesome experience that the entire family enjoyed.

    How Sweet the Sound, marvelous!!!!

    by chanel48 on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

The show was truly inspiring. You felt the spirit of the Lord in the place, each choir was amazing, and to me, they were all winners!!!! With each choir, the background colors changed according to what they had on, now that was something to see. If you missed it try to catch the event next time How Sweet The Sound comes to town.

    Worth so much more

by Lilnatmike on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

The value for my famiy was unbelievable! The performances were outstanding. It would have only been ae better if the big screens were available like at the basketball games and other events. Visibility was not good from the seat available on line. Starting on time is always an outstanding business image-both shows at verizon center began 20-30 minutes late. While I hope you are looking for comments to make it better, I do not want anything to take away from the powerfully anointed performances- totally amazing!! My two yr old grand has decided to be a gospel singer, dancer-Lol! The youth should have been on stage; Marvin Sapp sung the same medley both times; I would have preferred to see the youth showcase or had them perform during intermission versus at a time no one knew about to support them- you could have shown a video of the performance a shout out was not enough with all the down time waiting to start and the break.

    Los Angeles Was Moving!

    by Danii573 on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

I was so moved by all of the performances in Philadelphia as well as D.C. I couldnt imagine that any of the performances could be topped before visiting D.C. I was thrilled to see the passion, and the technicality, and the youth and aged alike joining together to sing praises to his name. Church was definitely happening on November 13th. We APPRECIATE verizon for showing up and showing out.

by RoyalT on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

I really enjoyed this experience. God was in the place and the messages were loud and clear. All performances were A1. They were all winners in my book. To God Be The Glory!

How Sweet the Sound was fantastic!

    by Chuckw085 on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

I really enjoyed the event and all of the artists and choirs. I was a little disappointed that Calvary Men of Valor from DC did not perform in the same fashion as they did in the regional competition (skipped the 1st verse and the impressive falsetto) which I think would have been the difference in their style and versatility. That would have given them the title!

    How Sweet the Sound Gospel

    by jake341956 on 11/15/10Verizon Center - Washington

The concert was excellent. The only complaints I had were that the seating was terrible and for at least the second time, it didn't start on time. Also, Karen Clark-Sheard was absolutely terrible as a judge.
