While Peter Noone, Tommy James and the Buckinghams were outstanding as usual, I was very disappointed in the Grass Roots. Not only was Mark Dawson a poor substitute for the handsome and personable Rob Grill, but the band did not even have the decency to mention Rob's passing. Maybe a little RIP would have been nice. After all, Rob made all those great songs into hits. They could have very easily mentioned Rob at the part where they mentioned the veterans before playing Let's Live for Today, which by the way was Rob's favorite song and was the last song he listened to before he passed.
The bottom line is without Rob Grill, the Grass Roots are NOT the Grass Roots. Put a different act in next year.
