Had so much fun until the end when Stevie B came on. Can't stand how cocky he is and how he thinks we want to see those other acts he brings on. Didn't pay for that!
We had such a great time and loved all the artists and the Honda Center was very nice and you felt very safe with the security and staff at the venue.
Had the best time ever along with all the memories and flashbacks it brought me back to. All the singers where amazing but overall brought tears to my eyes with all the good memories it brought back. Thanks 92.3 for hosting such an amazing event!
I enjoyed every minute of the concert. I would go every year if I can...
The concert was good, but not great. Some of the performers kept it as original as possible. I didn't like some of the artist's playing with bands, it took away some of the sounds that we are so used to enjoy. Trinere, Lil Suzy, Expose, & Debbie Deb always puts on a great show! The overall sound can be much better.
Had a amazing time was a great way to celebrate my birthday I loved every moment. ..can't wait for the next freestyle Explosion concert.
Freestyle was great!! Sound system was perfect! Lighting was outstanding, could see all the performers! Wish they had a pit area to dance... Security was good... but long lines for a mix drink... Beer lines no problem. Show started on time.
It was an overall amazing show. I have attended for past couple years and planning on to the next shows. I got to see many of my old school freestyle artists all in one night.I spend a fabulous time with my friends listening and dancing to the beats. Thank you for providing a great time and also a selective line up performance. Lisa Lisa like always puts on an amazing show. First time seeing Nu Shooz and it was great time.
Haven't had that much fun in a long time!!! Can't wait to see show again!!
Great show, brought back a lot of memories. If you were in high school late 80's and going out to house parties you will love it.
I had a good time at this event. There were a few acts I didn't much care for or at least was not impressed by, especially Johnny O. I had to leave the ampitheatre for him. Half the acts sounded like they were singing to their own tracks, kinda like a glorified karaoke. I understand some of these musicians are older and they could never sound exactly like they did as teens and 20 somethings so the fact that they got out there was pretty cool. I really enjoyed the ladies I went to see, Expose. They were great and it was cool to finally get to see them live. I also thought Lisa Lisa, the Cover Girls and Nu Shooz did a great job.
2013 Freestyle Explosion was AWESOME! One of the best so far :)
Great just wish the music was a bit louder. Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalkUniversal City NOT very happy.
All of the groups sounded great. I enjoyed it. Lots of dancing in the aisles, people enjoying the music. The view was awesome.
The annual Summer Freestyle Explosion didnt dissapoint!! We always have a great time at this concert. But its sad, cuz this will be the last on at The Gibson. This venue is one of the best in my opinion! Expose', The Cover Girls (Evelyn, Sabrina & Jennifer) looked and sound amazing!! All the other acts job well done as well!! Hopefully, nxt year, they can get TKA & Sa-Fire!!
