by JuliaCatherineD on 6/13/12Bowery Ballroom - New YorkSo confused by the whole experience. The 2nd band didn't go on until about 9:45. Horse Feathers didn't even go on until after 11. It was a Wednesday night, and I live in New Jersey and had to make the last train home. Therefore we only got to stay for about 2 or 3 songs. I was super disappointed, because I know Horse Feathers puts on an amazing show. Also last time I saw them was in Newport and they were fantastic, but there were about 3 more people on the stage this time around. Wasn't as magical this time :( My suggestion? Don't have your headliner start at 11:15pm on a weekday! And go back to the 3 piece band. I only gave this event 2 stars because I couldn't fathom giving only 1 star to my beloved Horse Feathers.
Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 6/12/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston It was absolutely phenomenal! I love both Brown Bird and Horse Feathers, but this far exceeded my expectations! Definitely one of the best concerts I've ever been to, and may ever attend.

by AnonymousMoi on 4/25/12Aladdin Theater - PortlandHorse Feathers is a MUST SEE group. Their sound is a combination of Iron & Wine and Jars Of Clay (minus the religious lyrics of course). Put that sound in a venue like the Aladdin and prepare to get swept away in the music. However, the crowd at this show was particularly rude: not one song went by when at least 10 people got up out of their seats to loudly exit the auditorium or decided to come in during a song, let the door slam and then stand around to look for seating. I highly recommend getting to the venue early and getting seating closer to the stage so as not to be bothered by noisy audience members.
Rating: 5 out of 5 amazing.
by newnewkitty on 4/24/12Aladdin Theater - Portlandbrilliant live show,... Must. Have. More.... first time seeing Horse Feathers after only just being introduced to their music a few months prior. the 2 opening bands were also very cool. honestly, one of the best shows i have seen in probably 10+ years.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Each band was part of the show
by Anonymous on 4/23/12Aladdin Theater - PortlandWhile the headliner was Horse Feathers, the two opening acts were great and played for the right amount of time. I really like Weinland as well. Horse Feathers was superb. Each song is so precise, it's amazing that they play them so well and in such a fast succession. Compared to most performers, I think you get 25% more music in the same amount of time. We really had a great time. Horse Feathers is so unique; I really hope the new album does well.
Rating: 4 out of 5by MaintenanceKaiser on 6/13/11The Basement - Columbus The band is great but the venue is very poor. There is another venue directly above The Basement and stairs in the back that allow the music from the upstairs band to greatly interfere with the music downstairs. Justin and the gang were real troopers playing as well as possible with such a distraction.
