About

Hombres G are a Spanish pop-rock band hailing from Madrid, Spain. Comprising vocalist/bassist David Summers, guitarists Rafael Gutierrez and Dani Mezquita and drummer Javi Molina, the quartet debuted in 1983 with a live performance at Madrid’s Rock-Ola. After breaking out with their self-titled 1985 debut album and its Spanish-language single “Devuélveme a mi chica,” the band released six more albums before breaking up in 1993. The hiatus lasted a decade, but since the early 2000s, the members of Hombres G have reunited sporadically to tour and release new material — including 2021’s La Esquina de Rowland. In 2024, the band will embark on a special tour to mark their 40th anniversary.

by Rene G on 7/11/25Moody Center ATX - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Both bands put on a great show that trigger so many memories from growing up and jamming to these bands. I can imagine if US bands did this it would be awesome! Imagine Journey & Cheap Trick or REO Speedwagon & Styx

  • Bring them back!

  • Great to see 2 legends locally…

by CR on 7/11/25Gas South Arena - DuluthRating: 5 out of 5

We all know Marcian -Lead Singer (Enanitos Verdes) passed away, but combined with Hombres G they sang all their hits in a very good adaptation/way. The format of 2 songs EV/HG each made the concert flow really well/fast. Hombres G were incredible, really strong voice without effort and the bands talents did not disappoint. The last time I visited Gas South was to see U2, years ago and it has improved a lot…wished I was paying more attention to them, beats going to ATL 100%. Will be back and absolutely recommend.

  • One more Check on my to-do list

by NachoTuMachoCamacho on 7/5/25Radio City Music Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This was GLORIOUS. Imagine being a GEN X and never had a chance to see not one but TWO of your childhood bands performing LIVE. Although Marciano Cantero from Enanitos Verdes has passed away couple of years ago, his lead guitarist and Blues Grand Master; Felipe and lead singer from Hombres G, David Summers, did an excellent job replacing him as we have seen it before from uploaded videos on social media. What a awesome heart melting uplifting spirit night it was witnessing two 1980s bands gathering so many people from different decades at almost 100% RCMH capacity. Those are truly old school artists still alive, composing music pieces FROM THE SCRATCH and still rocking. Oh! What a night!

David Summers still has it—absolutely amazing to relive and have the whole place singing these songs acapella half the time! These guys are legends of the Rock En Español movement. Don’t miss it if you grew up with their music.
