    Excellent Holiday Show

by Martexas on 12/26/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

The show was amazing. The performance we attended was a matinee so it was a little sparsly attended but the performers were spot on.

Production was excellent! Costumes were fabulous, skating was top notch and amazing for a small stage. Only downside was that the music was too loud.

    Henry stole the show

by Grammy37 on 12/26/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

This was a wonderful pre-Christmas show perfect for family and friends alike. The pace of the show was fast and entertaining, costumes colorful and beautiful, and the skaters seemed to really enjoy doing their thing on the ice. It was amazing how much they could do on the limited space they had on the stage.

The Holiday Ice Spectacular was very good.

by Anonymous on 12/26/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

The show was good although the stage was a bit small for what they were doing. We were in the fourth row and it seemed as if the performers were going to come off of the stage a few times. Would recommend a diferent location next time -- maybe Phillips Arena. However the perfomers were very enthusiastic and seemed skilled although they were clearly holding back because of the size of the stage.

The Holiday Ice Spectacular was delightful holiday entertainment for the whole family. It contained enough variety to please young children through adults. The skating was terrific, and all performers were very skilled and a pleasure to watch. The costumes were great and certainly added to the performance. All and all, a wonderful show!

    Holiday Ice Spectacular

by zippya on 12/24/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

We loved all the colorful costumes & the skating was very nice. We weren't expecting Olympic caliber athletes, but these got the job done especially with the limitation of the ice rink size so that speed could not be built up. The sound system was great, and the choice of music was delightful. We did not appreciate the adult humor when it was billed as a family show. We do not have children so that wasn't the problem. We are strong Christians and don't like the decline of today's morals. I also wondered how a Jewish person would feel with the Jewish humor; if I were Jewish I probably wouldn't have liked it. We almost walked out during the portion of the two men fairies & returned when that segment was over. This has no place in a family show & was extremely offensive to us--maybe the director thinks it is humor but not us.

    Holiday Ice definitely spectacular!

by dawgdaze on 12/21/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I thought the show was more than underrated...was disappointed at the small turn out for such an amazing, professionally done show. The skating, singing, comedy was all outstanding. I took my 6 year old daughter, who had the time of her life! The costumes and sets were all spectacular, and the cast were all gorgeous!

    Holiday Ice Spectacular

by hoslady on 12/21/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

The skaters were terrific and very energetic! There was such a small area to skate on, and they seemed to fly around the ice. ALso a funny storyline running throughout the show with one of Santa's elves and his wife. Lots of set changes and costume changes.

    Not appropriate for children!!

by Melanie12 on 12/21/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

We took our entire family (5 kids, 2 adults including toddlers and teens) to this event and we left at intermission. The "family" Christmas show we were hoping to see was laced with sexual innuendo and inappropriate jokes for children. I was embarrassed and disappointed that this was our holiday "event" this year for the family and it was such a flop. The skating was average, although I won't blame the skaters since the stage was so small that they really couldn't get up much speed for their jumps. We went to the Rockettes at the Fox last Christmas and it was 100 times better than this show. Save your money and buy your kids an extra present or two.

Holiday Ice was not as spectacular as I thought

by ILOVENYC on 12/18/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I think the amount of space limited the abilities of the skaters to show all that they could do in a sequence of maneuvers. There were some off color remarks that were totally unnecessary and not even really funny that caused my grandchildren to turn and ask what the meaning was and too many questions. The commentary by the elves was boring and did not produce much laughter. The audience was small and spread all over so the experience was not as contagious in its wow factor or laugh factor. I would recommend that when a performance has that many seats empty, the center would invite all to come down to the first two levels to enjoy the show together. When the first skaters came on and for the first 45 minutes until after the exciting couple skated with their turns of the girl with her head near the ice and way above the man's head, it was everything I anticipated. Then it turned somewhat mundane and my grands got restless. The two male fairies would have been funnier with more skating antics and an audience closer together. No intermission was necessary for the audience but maybe the skaters. An hour and 15 mins would have allowed us to buy the passes to meet the cast and get a program autographed but the children needed to go home for their last day of school Christmas parties. I would think an opening matinee on Fri would have been better attended.
