Hockey in the D with all these great players what more can you say.
It was great to watch the alumni game in comerica park. Yes it was freezing out! Didn't know we could bring blankets in so it's great to know next time.
I went to the Red Wings/Maple Leafs Alumni game not thinking ti was going to be anything special, but I was wrong. There were so many families bringing kids to see all the hockey greats who the parents used to love. It was awesome to see. Comerica & staff did a great job with warming tents and convenient food/beverage service. Comerica Park isn't the best place to see hockey, that's for sure... but WHO we saw made it completely worth the cold and wind.
I went to the alumni showdown at Comerica park before the winter classic. The whole thing was unforgettable. Seeing all those hockey legends on ice one more time was once in a lifetime. It was really cold out, but it was worth it. Because I had alumni showdown tickets, I automatically got to go to the fan zone where they had autograph booths, fire pits, tents with different attractions, and the Stanley cup was there too. I made the trip from Las Vegas to go, and I would recommend anyone else who likes hockey to go.
Had a BLAST!!! Even with the cold it was amazing. It was great to see all the former players. LOVED IT!!!
I bought the tickets as they went on sale for the experience of seeing some great hockey players in a baseball stadium. Vision from the upper area was as expected, but overall the players (pretty much as I expected) were barely scrimmaging... making for a lackluster event.
It was incredible to see all of my favorite Red Wings at one time! What a fun couple of games to watch!!
It was freezing, and by the start of the second game, my feet were quite literally numb. So numb, in fact, that it was difficult for me to walk. But in spite of that, I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. Seeing all those hockey legends on the ice was a once in a lifetime experience. It was like rewinding back to my childhood. I would see another outdoor hockey game at Comerica Park in a heartbeat. I would just get better boots. :)
Once in a lifetime event is right! One of the coolest things I've witnessed and something I'll never forget! (especially the cold weather) Our seats were actually awesome, couldn't follow the puck but we could still see everything!
It was a wonderful (albeit cold) day! The only thing that was a little frustrating was not knowing where the Stanley Cup was and then almost missing it! Also it was difficult trying to get to the auction items since it was at the very front entrance, and try to see them in the maze, it could have been displayed a little easier. It was great being able to take a picture with the locker room setting. It was an awesome memory I will treasure for a lifetime! Oh and before I forget, seeing Konstantinov and the Russian five was beyond belief as well as Stevie being there! It couldn't have been more complete!
