Hippie Sabotage on Tour

Electronic music duo Hippie Sabotage fully embody their moniker, lighting up venues with trippy LED visuals while attacking the stage with huge beats, booming bass and endless amounts of energy. The Saurer brothers may have pushed well over a billion streams online, but it's nothing like seeing them command a stage, especially when Kevin's behind the boards and Jeff busts out his guitar. Since going global with their remix of Tove Lo's "Habits (Stay High)," the duo have brought their smooth, heart-pounding productions to cities around the world, dominating at top festivals like Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits and Electric Zoo, and selling out shows on their own headlining tours.

Hippie Sabotage in Concert

Before they even hit their teens, Sacramento brothers Kevin and Jeff Saurer started crafting their own music. They first focused their attention on hip-hop, creating instrumental beat tapes. By the late ā€˜00s, they decided to give themselves a name: Hippie Sabotage, inspired by their father and grandfather's initials, H.S. They began collaborating with rappers like Yukmouth and Calez, and eventually morphed those hip-hop beats into more EDM-based songs. In 2013, they released their first EP of original material, Vacants, but it was a remix that would soon turn their life upside down. That same year, they reworked Swedish pop singer Tove Lo's "Habits (Stay High)," turning it into a dark, woozy dance track that eventually peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and shot up numerous other charts around the world. This sudden rise inspired the brothers to release more material, including a number of singles and EPs and soon their first full-length, The Sunny Album. Their sophomore album, Providence, followed in 2016 along with the Options EP, a collaboration with producer Cubic Z of DJ Khaled's We the Best Music Group label. They continued that partnership for 2017's Drifter, and by the time they set off for their 2018 national tour, they were boasting over one billion streams and counting.

    One of the best concerts!

by karma on 3/25/24South Side Ballroom - Dallas

I read reviews that people were expecting a Lofi vibe, but that the experience was more hype than that. It was DEFINITELY hype, and we had the BEST time!!!! I will definitely go see them next time they come. The music was awesome, and the crowd was chill, itā€™s definitely in my Top 10 Favorite Concerts :)

    Better at The Factory

by Harkins on 3/25/24South Side Ballroom - Dallas

I am a huge fan and never miss a show. I think that having the show at Southside caused a huge difference in the energy of a typical Hippie Sabotage show. Not as many people, and not as loud. I much prefer to see them at The Factory. I really hope that this isnā€™t going to be their regular venue going forward.

My daughter wanted to go to her first concert.

by First concert on 3/24/24House of Blues Houston - Houston

House of blues was just the right size for the venue. The variety of can drinks were limited. My daughter loved the concert. She couldnā€™t stop talking about it. We got there early so, we were in the front where she could record concert.

    So much fun!!

by Heather B on 3/21/24Iron City - Birmingham

Iā€™m not going to lie, I got really excited to see that Hippie Sabotage was coming town. Then I saw a video that had gone viral with them handling stressful situations in a way that wasnā€™t the best at a festival. It made my hopes go down a little bit. BUTā€¦ from the moment these badass brothers from California took the stage, my fiancĆ© and I were pretty much in shock. We had so much fun the entire time! This is easily one of the top 5 concerts I have ever been to (I have been to a lot of concerts) and I genuinely feel like these guys are underpaid and underrated. We paid less than $100 for two of us to see them. We were stoked because my fiancĆ© is from NorCal and I lived there for a few years myself. But I promise you, after seeing them live, I would gladly pay double to have the exact same experience I had in Birmingham, Alabama. Thank you for the experience. Thank you for the memories. And thank you for acknowledging your past mistakes and really showing that you have grown and want better for yourselves because I promise that you both deserve the world. Til next time Hippies. šŸ¤˜šŸ¤˜

    oversoldā€¦ again

by Pal on 3/19/24Tabernacle - Atlanta

As usual, they oversold the show. Disappointing a great venue didnā€™t take a pandemic seriously and continues to be negligent.
