The sound system was incredible. The volunteers were great. The lineup was out of this world. It was a great first time festival for hijinx and I hope there will continue to be more because I will go to every one.
Day 1 was not as magical as day two but day two had me in my feels and it was SO magical. I am so happy I went.
First ever rave at the first ever Hijinx. My experience was amazing! The only negative was that Flatbush Zombies got replaced very last minute by PnB Rock. Everyone I spoke with seemed to agree in frustration about this, but other than that, AMAZING.
Amazing time - Good people, great stage and sound, plenty of room, awesome staff. We will be back!
Had a great time seeing all the artists that were involved. The only issues I had dealt more with sound and service. Sound was a little rugged in specific areas and the drink lines took a very long time. Bathroom accessibility was great. Water refill was great. Security checks weren't overblown. Overall nice job for the first time at the philly convention center.
The venue and with the way the speakers were set up, gave it a little bit of an echo. It sounded like there was a little to much bass too. Lights got really bright sometimes and almost blinding.
Everything about Hijinx was amazing! it wasn't too crowded in the venue, had awesome vendors, security was quick, production was awesome, lineup was amazing, I had a really great time! The water stations never had too long of lines either which was great. Everyone there was so nice, I would definitely go again!
First night. Dope. Second night. Dope. Bassnectar had an amazing set. Odesza made me feel all the right ways. Griz was wonderful. The venue was great and the acoustics were very good for an indoor convention center. RIP Flatbush zombies though, that last minute cancellation was sad & I really wanted to see them!
Please hold the festival again next year! From the venue to the sets, it was incredible!
Definitely a solid lineup for the first year of a festival and we had a good time. The drink lines however were very poorly run. We missed an entire set (which was around an hour and 15 minutes) waiting in line for a drink because the bartenders in every line were extremely slow. Not just with making the drinks, but they would carry on conversations with people in line after they made the drink when there's 30-40 people in line behind them. I'm not sure if they were purposely doing that to stop people from getting too drunk, but if that were the case just limit the amount of drinks per person. Other than that it was a good time!
Awesome show!! Great sound quality and light show. loved that it was inside at the Philly convention center. Large enough space for plenty of people. Everything was clean and easy to access.
The venue was wonderful and the lineup kept the crowd going. Will definitely attend next year
This was the first year Hijinx Festival came to Philadelphia. I was extremely impressed with most of it; however, there is some room for improvement in certain areas. To start off with the good, security was awesome. Lines moved very fast. When I walked into the event space, I was wowed by the stage set up. The atmosphere was phenomenal. The one area that hijinx neeeds to improve in are the beer lines. We would miss a whole set basically waiting in line for beers. The bar employees moved EXTREMELY slow. A way to help this would be to make the event 21+ or to give everyone who is 21+ a wristband as you enter the festival. This will cut time on the employees checking IDs every single time you go up to get a drink. Other than that, it was great!
One of the best experiences of my entire life. I can speak on the behalf of my enire group. We all fell in love with the opportunity to come together as one big happy family melting away to the music. We wished that as soon as it was over, we could do the enire experience again. Thank you for being everything we could hope for. We love you Hijinx
Hijinx was an amazing festival. The production was unreal. 10/10 would go again.
The venue was awesome and the lineup was one of the best I’ve seen
Lineup was great. Crowd was suuuuper thick, needed some kind of small middle barrier to break things up and help keep people in the middle from getting too hot. Bartenders were not real bartenders so the lines got ridiculously long as they took forever to make each drink. Other than those two things it was an amazing festival and with a lineup like that I’d definitely come back again. Maybe next year we can bring out someone like cashmere cat or flume (hint hint). Had a great time and super glad I went.
Everything was incredible! I’m not even a big EDM fan, just like to have a good time, but this festival blew my mind and redefined my definition of fun. Honestly top notch! Highly highly recommend
Sound system muffled in middle, lines to get food,drinks and bathroom were way too long at times, and the merch booths were pretty trash. Other than that everything was great
Great festival, I would highly recommend, will definitely be going next year
