Absolutely love Hijinx!! Great crowd, great space, amazing music, amazing sets/djs. Soo much fun. Love the vendors. The lasers and lights were mesmerizing, I love that it was inside and that a festival was available in the winter. Only improvement would be food. More food options and better food please
Year 4 in a row. We’ll be back every year. Don’t bother ever booking Alison again tho. Would it kill you guys to put a light above the water refill stations? The pillars are the only bad part. TV screens showing the stage on them would help some I think. Put some lights and lasers on the rest of the walls!! Surround us with effects!! It felt like a dream, so many great people, great music, the venue is wide open, plenty of accessible bathrooms and concessions. It was my second year going and I could imagine it won't be my last.
The music- perfect. The room and sound - massive and well tuned. The crowd - home away from home.
The sets were all over the place. Only set that wowed people was the last one as expected. I don’t think the lineup can ever be as good as 2019 but this was very subpar/boring for Hijinx standards. Will skip next year.
Amazing venue! Great acoustics, plenty of space to dance. The merch was fantastic as well .
I like Hijinx its easy and simple yet very fun! bring good vibes get good vibes. the music day 2 of 2024 lineup was insanely better than day 1 this year though
Great time! For the price and the experience it was well worth it. Will definitely be returning for this event
HIJINX is my favorite festival. This was my second year attending (but I wish I had been to all of them). The lineup never disappoints - there is one stage, so you never have to choose between conflicting lineups and it is reasonably priced for two full days of amazing music and good production. The venue is great - I have never waited in line to enter, the staff have always been extremely kind and fun, there are bathrooms everywhere, there is space to walk around and cool off or sit and relax in the lounge areas. Water refill stations are efficient and everything is easily accessible. When the concert is over, there is no bottleneck and it is just as easy to exit the venue as it is to enter - something I cannot say for many other places. 10/10 would recommend full sending HIJINX.
Hijinx brings it every year with amazing lineups and production. Sound travels terribly in the concrete environment but is still great with heavy bass. Water needs to be cheaper but water stations make it much better with refills. Staff is friendly and I am never disappointed with this festival.
The event center was huge. Temperature inside was perfect. Plenty of food and beverage stands. Lines for bathrooms were quick. Overall a great time. Will definitely be back.
great layout, medical staff was EXCELLENT, only qualm was really the ridiculously overpriced food and beverages. i hope they can book porter again next year lol
Hijinx is always so fun! The production was amazing this year, loved the stage design and lasers! Also loved the jellyfish lounge, such a chill place to hang out and sit down and get away from the loud music for a second. The food and vendors were also pretty good. The speakers could be better quality. I just wish they would stick to strictly bass music/heavy dubstep for the lineup. The constant vibe switches can be kind of weird. When each sounds completely different sounding than the last, it feels off-putting. Bass music is just my personal preference but I think I speak for most of the hijinx attendees here.
Unreal lineup. I was pumped for RezzMau5, Skrillex, and Subtronics, but a lot of the openers were impressive as well! Great space to spread out when you need space but can still see the stage. Temperature inside was comfortable. The base shook me to my core so thank god for earplugs! RezzMau5 was Incredible!!!
My friends & I have been to events all over the country. We liked the more intimate experience of this one. The production was great, the crowd was overall very friendly, & the workers were nice. We weren’t a big fan of there only being liquor stands in the very back of the venue. The rest of the stands on the side were only beer or “canned liquor”. The decorations were also sub-par. The bathroom lines were super long, even with the added porta-potties, so it could use more next year. Overall, it was a great time, just a little overpriced for what you get.
Of the Trees killed it. I don't know what happened after that. The flow of music was not it, Day 1. I came to Philly to get away from the Jersey fist pumping music. Honestly, our vision quest was amazing up until Joyryde and Habstrakt. Skrillex was upsetting, I honestly couldn't belive it. I saw him at MSG earlier this year; very disappointing, we left about halfway through his set. I heard Subtronics threw down, but the 4 and half hours of torcher was not worth the wait. Day 2 was amazing. Overall, great weekend.
An amazing experience. Always wanted to go to a rave. Always heard about how fun they are and the positive energy that flows through the building with the best of souls. I have witnessed truth! The music, and especially the people are amazing!!
I've been to HiJinx now all 5 years it's been around. There always seems to be an issue they should have been able to easily anticipate that somehow they don't. This year was no exception. The VIP area (I always do VIP) had the smallest bathrooms possible. 5 stalls in the women's room and 3 in the men's room. Considering there were at least 500 VIP guests (in my estimation), that's insane. We were constantly waiting in long lines, leaving the VIP area to try and find shorter lines through the venue quite often. They also ran out of water bottles very early in the night and never replenished them (also in VIP). The sound and lights the first night also really sucked. Way too loud and distorted all over the venue. Thankfully it seemed they fixed it some on night 2. **Honestly, the overall feeling from this year is that they sold more tickets, made it bigger, and then cheaped out on as much as possible** Though I will admit that the lineup on night 2 played quite decent sets
As title says it's just a little more pricey than I think it was worth. Good sets though!
Everything was great about hijinx. Just wished logistical entrance were better/faster but other than that it was awesome!
