Peter Noone and Herman Hermits is THE BEST!

by Maggie McPat on 4/10/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - Bloomington

Peter Noone and Herman Hermits take you back to your youth with their upbeat and happy songs. Peter is a great singer, showman, comedian and makes everyone feel that he is singing directly to you. The band is also great with their playing, singing and dancing! He stayed after the concert and signed autographs and took pictures with whoever wanted to meet him personally.

This was my 8th time seeing the Herman Hermits. They never disappoint I brought two friends who have never seen them and both agreed it was a wonderful show. Peter is such a great entertainer and I always leave his shows with a smile on my face and a tune in my heart.

Peter Noone is a hoot. Came down into the audience. Signed autographs after. Tossed shirts and gifts into the crowd and got us all up and singing. Just a really fun night. Hope he comes back next year!

Peter Noone was awesome! His vocals were strong and he had plenty of energy even at age 76. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the show.

    Heman's Hermits Concert

by Barney O on 4/9/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - Bloomington

Peter Noone & the band was fantastic! However, didn't enjoy the overhead stage lights being turned up so brightly and aimed towards the audience making it difficult to see the performance especially at the balcony level. I was told that was requested by Peter, but he should know by now the audience pays the bills.

    Awesome

by Rick on 4/9/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - Bloomington

Attended concert with a dear friend, we are in our 70s like Peter Noone. He had the place rocking and laughing. We go to a lot of concerts, this one was probably the most fun. This was the 3rd Hermnan’s hermits concert I’ve attended can’t wait for the next one.

    Fun, But Oh Those Lights!!

by jdfan53 on 4/9/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - Bloomington

Loved the music, loved the energy and I'm definitely glad I went. But wow, those lights!! They turned the stage spotlights onto the audience so that Peter Noone could interact with them. I thought it would be for a song or two, but it was for the WHOLE SHOW, and they shined directly in our eyes! That made it so that it was hard to see Peter or the band unless we shaded our eyes, and that got tiresome pretty quickly. To do it for an hour and a half was awful. They need to change that, and quickly. The only other thing I didn't like was the constant, constant jokes about how we all were old, decrepid and about all the things that hurt. I did not pay for that. Once or twice? Ok. But to do it heavily throughout the show was not funny. Other than those two things, the show was so much fun, and Peter's voice and antics were great! I had a really good time.

    High Energy, Entertaining and Fun

by JT on 4/9/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - Bloomington

Besides playing really good music, Peter Noone is a great entertainer. His show is full of activity (mingling in crowd, throwing shirts and CD's to audience, telling jokes, etc.) and just in general a fun evening. My only complaint would be about the lighting. The lights above audience were on for the entire concert. I've never been to a concert in which this happened and it was very distracting and took a lot away from a really good show. The lights from the stage going out to the audience were extremely bright and you almost had to put your hand above your eyes to shield them from you. Overall, show was a 5 star but lighting was a 1 star.

    It was awesome!

by Chris on 4/9/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - Bloomington

It was a great show! Peter was so funny and entertaining. It was great to hear the Herman's Hermits songs again. The only complaint that I have were the overhead lights above the stage that were facing the audience. That was the facility's fault though. Some people had to put their hands above their eyes to avoid the glare from them. I would totally recommend seeing this show. I hope they will be back in the area again soon.

    We know the words

by Dee on 4/8/24Adler Theatre - Davenport

Very nice to hear music you grew up with and being able to live in the times when you could understand the words being sung. Herman Hermits were great & loved how Peter Noone interacted with the crowd.

    Absolutely FANtastic

by SVT Cobra97 on 4/6/24Adler Theatre - Davenport

This concert was everything I expected & MORE. I listen to Peter Noone every Saturday on SiriusXM channel 73, '60's Gold'. He has a 2 hour show that is totally entertaining. He plays great music interspersed with incredibly funny anecdotes about his years growing up and about his early years in the music biz. So I was expecting more of that in his show, and he did not disappoint. What he delivered in his live concert performance was that along with LOTS of interaction with the audience during both his singing and his talking with his audience. His interaction with the audience all the way through the show was amazing and he did it non-stop for over an hour without stopping to take a break! And then the unexpected bonus to top it all off was as he ended the show and carefully slipped off the stage, we found him in the lobby as we were getting ready to exit and there he was cheerfully signing autographs and posing for pictures with EVERY SINGLE one who wished to do that (which was at least half the audience. There are not many entertainers of his level that would make themselves directly available to his audience members 'up close and personal' the way he did! He had a couple assistants helping organize the fans as they left to get their items autographed plus one who handled peoples phones/cameras to do the picture taking on your phone and then make sure you got your own phone back to you. It was all well organized and fan friendly and Peter was genuinely friendly with everyone, even to the point of answering minor questions some people had. All in all, one of the greatest concert experiences my wife and I have ever had, and we have been to a lot of concerts over the years (I am 75 and she is 69 so between us we have seen a LOT of different events since our late teen years thru now). Our main hope is that he will come back next year as he was very much asking the crowd at the end if we wanted him back and the answer is a resounding YES WE DO!!!
