    Hem was fantastic

by skygrey on 5/6/13Bowery Ballroom - New York

The Hem show at Bowery Ballroom was great; the crowd had a great vibe, the band's performance was flawless, and Dawn Landes (who is part of Hem) was a perfect opening to the show. Hem's music, as always, was transcendental, and the band was very gracious and friendly.

    Hem makes beautiful music!

by RKPR on 4/24/13Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

One of the best concerts I've ever attended! I saw them twice years ago and they sound even better now. Such a perfect blend of vocals, music and lyrics:its all so top notch and even made me cry during one song. All of the musicians make it work and the show flew by...I didn't want it to end!

Hem put on a beautiful performance

by prosecutor on 4/22/13Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

They were better than expected. They played a nice mix of old and new and they just put on a beautiful vocal and musical performance. The addition of the opening act singer as a backup vocal for Hem was a great decision and added to the beautiful sound they produced.

    Hem

by Anonymous on 4/22/13Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

I have been a Hem fan for a while and they didn't disappoint. Great to see them in person at such an intimate venue. They tended to play a bit more of their brand new songs as opposed to some of the older songs, but all was good.

    Hem was enthralling

by Anonymous on 4/22/13Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

Hem's concert was enthralling and mesmerizing. Sally's flawless vocals, despite being rusty on touring, perfectly rendered the emotions of the dainty, yet heavy, songs. Rotating the sets by theme, rather than tempo or by popularity, was an interesting choice, but it worked out as not many Hem songs stand out in popularity. The opening act Dawn Landes, honorary Hem member, sang beautifully in both French and English. Each musician performed with high standards and natural mechanics. The group has an honest and fun interaction with each other.
