    Bucklist show, far from disappointing

by Anonymous on 2/22/15Brighton Music Hall - Boston

It was exciting to finally see Helmet live, especially when having the opportunity to hear one of their most influential albums, Betty, play front to back for the first half of their set. Discovering that it's only them playing and that their second set not only spanned their career of music but included a lot of fan favorites and earlier material that isn't normally heard live. One of the better rock shows I've seen in years.

    Awesome concert

by Freitas on 10/24/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

First, the Bowery Ballroom is an excelent venue. The bar downstairs offers good beer and upstairs, the space is good enough so you can be close to the band and really enjoy the show. Skeleton Key the band that opened for Helmet was really good, and although Helmet didn't play the old songs that I was desperate to hear, the concert was amazing.

The show was great, Page Hamilton kept is simple but stunning at the same time. The guys came to have a talk with the audience right after the show (we didn't have to wait for 2 hours outside in the cold after the show). On stage, they played it loud, the performance was powerful, energetic and the playing is of great quality! All songs were great even though I missed one title or two (they even played songs I didn't know... which I immediately loved!) If you think about going to one of their show, do not hesitate. All in all, I'm sure you will have a great time! PS: please avoid silly headbangers and thrusters, they have a tendency to spoil the show for other people who actually want to LISTEN to the show and enjoy it; having fun is great, dancing is great, one accidental kick or two is OK but being kicked for hours is just boring. (I was in the front row, I had to go upstairs to enjoy the show and see everything well)

it was an awesome show, though the first timer guitar tech kept tuning the guitars wrong. The guys got through the issues, and managed to deliver an amazing show. I will deffinately see them again...

    HELMET STILL KICKS A#$!

    by Flanders13 on 3/25/11Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield

The only problem with the performance was that it was not loud enough! Loved every minute of it! Plus, all the accompanying bands were very talented as well.

    Helmet was fantastic

by thegrandguignol on 10/16/10Bluebird Theater - Denver

I hadn't seen Helmet in 18 years, but I realized after seeing this gig that I've been missing out on their current line-up. The songs were tight, and Page Hamilton had a great stage presence. I was worried that their live show would be lacking that raw power without John Stainer, but drummer Kyle Stevenson and bassist Dave Case delivered. I had two complaints. First, I wish they had played more of their new material. I've really enjoyed the last two albums. Second, Intronaut is terrible. The bass player is very prog/new age, and he and the drummer almost seemed like they were in two different bands. The disappointing opener is not enough to detract from Helmet's great show. So, if you are like me and haven't seen Helmet in a while, go change that and catch them on this tour!

    Helmet better than ever

by madbra on 10/14/10Peabody's - Cleveland

An excellent mix of old and new stuff. Page is a first class guy who shook hands with every last hard core fan who waited after the show for pictures and autographs. I heard him speaking with a guy about musical choices and general recommendations for a good 5 minutes. Nicest well spoken down to earth rock star I've ever chatted with and can't wait for them to come around again.

    HELMET - Rock Fury!!!

by Anonymous on 10/11/10Bluebird Theater - Denver

What an impressive show!!! HELMET is one true blue kick ass surviving rock band. It was awefully refreshing. Meticulous and heavy all the way through with all players delivering above and beyond...nailed down tight with with a ridiculously good drummer.

    Helmet

by rockgod39 on 9/18/10Showbox at the Market - Seattle

Helmet!!! Enough said. Once again they showed people how to rock. the Drummer is like a machine gun on overload and the rest of the Band where in great form. Such is to be expected from a seasoned Band.

First time ever seeing Helmet and was VERY pleased. There wasn't too long of a wait between bands, the venue is great, and the band rocked. Great Show.

    Helmet crashes our town.

by showguns on 5/21/10The Intersection - Grand Rapids

When a great band like HELMET, plays a small venue like The Intersection, what you get is an amazing show. Helmet Plays all the great songs that you would expect them too, with just as much energy as they ever have, placing most of theyre talents on just jamming instead of all the tiresome stage show theatrics. If you get a chance to see this band you wont be disapointed. 2 thumbs up for the Intersection as well. The sound was amazing, putting such a heavy band into such a small building can be a challenging but the Intersection pulled it off with ease. Thanx for the great event.
