    Hello Sally!

by Anonymous on 10/22/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Sally Struthers was so entertaining in this production. I had no idea she had become such an accomplished actress after her stint in sitcoms. What I found most impressive though was the choreography. Having that many actors on stage at the same time and having all of them working together flawlessly is quite a feat.

    Hello Dolly was fantastic!!

by barbinmich on 10/22/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Hello Dolly was just so wonderful. The singing, dancing, scenery - every minute was great. Sally Struthers was magnificent and the rest of the cast as well. The clothes were beautiful and it was funny in so many parts. I don't think I have ever finished watching the movie, but I would like to now to see if this musical is much different. I would recommend seeing this definitely.

    Sally Struthers was a disappointment

Theater was beautiful. Seats were fantastic. We left at intermission. The performance was atrocious. I have never walked out in the middle of anything before.

    Hello Dolly

by Leon617 on 10/22/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I went to the show with my girlfriend for sweetest day. it was very good, great voices and dancing, and a classic play. I bought tickets on line and thought i bought them for the evening performance but mistakenly purchased tickets for the afternoon show.. When we arrived the ushers were very understanding and went above and beyond the call of duty and immediately took care of us by finding replacement seats no questions asked and saved our evening. Thanks for great customer service!!!!

Hello Dolly starring Sally Struthers is fantastic

by Corona59 on 10/22/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Sally Struthers brought an excellent presence to the show. She brought a comedic timing as you would expect from Sally. Musical arrangement is fantastic. Great sound for an 8 piece orchestra.

    Very Entertaining

by happydaysarehereagain on 10/21/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Overall the production itself was very good and entertaining (I knew the songs but never really knew the story). The sets were good and the people in the supporting roles were extremely good. However, I felt Sally Struthers was mis cast - basically because she didn't move her body - she was not animated in a role that called for animation...she spoke the lines but didn't act them out. She looked like she had a rod up her back, shuffling across the stage. I would rather see Debbie Reynolds, Shirley Jones or Mitzi Gaynor in this go-around. Friends of our also felt exactly the same way.

Hello Dolly far exceeded every expectation!

by loCar on 10/16/13Scranton Cultural Center - Scranton

Sally Struthers IS Dolly and she's sure lookin' swell! From opening curtain to the very last note, the cast kept "the room swayin' and the band playin' all our favorite songs from way back when..." We laughed, we cried, tapped our toes and loved every minute of this superbly entertaining performance. So much so that, during Intermission, we called our grandchildren so they could book for the evening performance.

    Passing Grade

by DancingToes on 10/16/13Scranton Cultural Center - Scranton

Sally isn't much know for singing...at some points it was a stretch...sadly, her wardrobe was less than impressive as well... almost shabby. Her comedic skill surfaced often and was appreciated. The male lead was very unconvincing...much too mild in his presentation...unlike the film version's ornery Walter Mattheau. The winners were the remainder of the Company. Supporting leads were great...The dance members and dance numbers were remarkable...full of energy, and loaded with talent, whose Costumes were also first class...unlike Dolly's. Creative staging considering very limited stage space.
