    Hello Dolly was very good

by Ricksister on 1/19/14Robinson Center Music Hall - Little Rock

Sally Struthers' "Hello Dolly!" was very good. The chorus members were really the stars of the show, however. They were all very talented dancers and singers, outstanding in the waiters' dance for sure, and other places as well. Ms Struthers did well as Dolly, but there were times when it was difficult to hear what she was saying -- she had some great 'gags' which would have been hilarious in a smaller venue but were all but lost in the Robinson Center. That being said, it's a fun show and well worth the price of a ticket.

Opening act song was hard to hear. After that, they seemed to adjust the sound. The rest of the show was perfectly balanced. Excellent portrayals. Acting was fantastic. Can't say enough good things about Sally struthers.

Humor and dancing was very entertaining. The head waiter's voice was very hard to understand.

    Hello Sally

by mamalana5 on 1/13/14E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - Akron

Sally Struthers did not disappoint in her role as Dolly Levi in "Hello Dolly". She didn't take herself seriously, and I enjoyed watching her transform the role to her own.

    HELLO DOLLY

by Anonymous on 1/12/14E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - Akron

Extremely professional and well-executed presentation. Struther's has amazing 'pipes' for a woman her age! Subject matter and language used to portray the characters was believable and tasteful-appropriate for all viewers- especially those who believe they can't make their points without vulgar trashy adjectives!

    Hello Dolly

by nsfdupvnuopwb on 1/12/14E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - Akron

Hello Dolly was good, not great. EJ Thomas Hall was very cold and uncomfortable [had to wear coats to stay warm]. Sally Struthers was funny, but singing not very good. Other cast members sang well, dancing not up to the level of a number of college productions I've seen. Set/scenery were adequate, but nothing special. Also not up to the level of many college productions.

    Dolly deserves a Grand Parade!

by GrammyPapaplus2 on 1/12/14E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - Akron

Hello Dolly is one of the best and funniest musicals I have ever seen. The music is upbeat. The dancing was phenomenal, with both the choreography and the timing! Flawless!! The dancers were terrific, esp the scene of serving the meal. I can only imagine how much practice must go in to timing every move so perfectly! We took my 85 year old mother-in -law and she loved it, too. The singing was also excellent. To top it off with a big red cherry was seeing Sally Struthers on stage. i felt like I have known her since I was a kid and to see her in this role with singing, dancing and acting shows just how ultimately talented she is. I hope she knows how we have never forgotten her and her talent and felt honored to be in the same theater with her. Thank-you, Sally! Thank you, too, to the dancers, singers and orchestra. The pianos were especially great!

Drury Lane Theatre is a beautiful, intimate theatre with bright chandeliers! I enjoyed the entire performance including the acting, dancing, orchestra, lighting, and props. And comedy too!

    WOW!

by Bussiebird on 1/10/14Dow Event Center - Saginaw

We were absolutely THRILLED with our seats (first row, center) and the ENTIRE performance of Hello Dolly. Sally Struthers did NOT disappoint. She was hilarious, sang beautifully, facial expressions were priceless and was extremely charming. Performed directly to the audience. The entire cast was great. Great singing. Great acting. Would definitely see the same production again with this cast. What a thrilling experience. (Do I sound like we enjoyed it!) By the way, the orchestra was terrific. And without them, where would the cast be?

    Great Night Out

by TheVWoman on 1/10/14Dow Event Center - Saginaw

Costumes were great. Singing was wonderful. It was a snowy/blizzardy night with windchills at -15 or worse, but it was well worth fighting the weather to be there. Sally Struthers did an excellent job. The quality/volume of her voice was amazing. We can't figure out why this play was only at this venue for just one night.

Hello Dolly - a great show

by DanInAurora on 1/9/14Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace - Oakbrook Terrace

Its been a number of years since we saw a play at Drury Lane and I forgot how nice a theater it is. The production was well directed, the orchestra was great and the cast was very professional. The productions at this theater are as good as downtown Chicago and certainly easier to get to and FREE parking. Restaurant and bar on site and hotels as well. We will definitely be going back for more shows.

We went to see Hello Dolly dinner package. Food was very good--we both ordered gluten free dinners. Show was very good. I am not big fan of musicals but this was excellent. Actors were first rate. I will plan to come back again.

    Hello Dolly at the Drury

by Johnallie on 1/7/14Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace - Oakbrook Terrace

Hello Dolly was spectacular. Took my mother in law as a gift and we both agreed that we couldn't have seen a better show on Broadway. High energy and singing and acting and dancing were superb.
