Helen Welch is a breath of sunshine compared to current music on the radio. Helen has a beautiful voice and good stage presents.

I really enjoyed such a relaxing evening with her wonderful voice and a very nice band. They all worked so well together. I love the Carpenters since I was little. I could sing along most of her songs. Helen did such a great job tribute to the Carpenters. Thank you for such a wonderful performance!

This was a first class production! Helen Welch sang wonderfully, and looked great. The band that accompanied her was top notch. We could not have been more pleased! It was an excellent tribute. Helen's voice sounds a lot like Karen Carpenter, but she made the performances her own. There were some variations on the original arrangements in a few instances, ("Sweet Sweet Smile", "Sing". and "Jambalaya") but they all worked. Truly a delightful evening! Thank you Helen Welch and Co.!

This was a delightful concert. The band was very talented and supported Helen well. The musical director was amazing. He truly kept things rolling to a practically seamless performance. They sounded like the Carpenters live that I saw years ago. The only disappointment was the person sitting behind me who thought it was her show and sang the whole time of the concert.

She is amazing and very charismatic on stage! She sounds very much like Karen Carpenter!

My wife and I have seen Helen perform a number of times and have enjoyed her performance each time. This presented a unique opportunity to see Helen sing music we both very much enjoyed. At intermission we wondered what Carpenters songs were left to be performed as she had covered the biggest hits we could remember. Well, the second half of the show was filled with more great music. We look forward to seeing this show again, and will bring others with us.

Helen's beautiful voice and style, the band's great sound and cohesiveness, their clothing, professionalism, all came shining through. Helen shared all sorts of information about the Carpenters that I never knew. I sang along with every song and just enjoyed every minute. Thank you for a wonderful show.

This is the second time we have seen Helen Welch perform and she continues to amaze us with her voice, stage presence, and humility. She so appreciates her band (which is also great) and interacts seamlessly with her audience. In this show she beautifully wove the story of The Carpenters with their songs.

Helen Welch's voice was so close to Karen Carpenter's that I thought I was back in the 70's listening to the Carpenter's. Helen and her tight-sounding quartet brought a great evening of Karen and Richard's greatest hits to life on stage interspersed with a history of the group. The entire evening was magical. Heien noted the songwriter's name on most songs and they included the top writers of the day...Burt Bacharach, Paul Williams and Leon Russell to name a few. If you get a chance to see this show, don't pass it up.

Great show from beginning to end. Her renditions of the Carpenter music was right on target. I could have listened to her all night long. Would love to see her in other performances.

I have seen Helen several times and have never been disappointed in a show. This was a small setting on stage and made you feel like you were listening from your own living room. Great performance! Loved all the songs from her new Christmas album! She is absolutely a gem!

It was difficult to hear Helen's voice due to the horrible mixing by the sound engineer. Her lovely voice was overpowered by the highly amplified instrumentals. We should have just stayed home and listened to her CD instead. We have always attended her Christmas concerts at the Civic. We will not be in the audience next year.

This is one of Helen's Best Shows Ever!! The Selection of tunes from American composers written in 50's-70's brought back great memories. The Band was spot on-Joe Lehman pushed the keyboard to a new level, and Helen's voice was spectacular ... I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys great live music.

Really enjoyed the walk down memory lane with The Carpenters' music. Brought back a lot of memories. Helen Welch has a magnificent voice. Also enjoyed the back-up singing by the Miller South Show Choir. They showed a lot of enthusiasm and talent.

Her variety of music and singing was fantastic! She is upbeat and funny - cute. Her voice is stellar - the cabaret style was new to me. Loved the intimate setting.

This was a very enjoyable event. The "stage " setting was nice and fit the venue well. The performance came off very well and very professional... all within the confines of an historic theatre. The bartender did an excellent job in serving the crowd though I thought it would have been nice to have coffee available.

This show really kicks off the Christmas season! Very well orchestrated and full of spirit! The choirs and the musicians really did a great job. Helen Welch kept the show moving with her beautiful voice, humor, and energy! We'll be back next year.....

Very entertaining. Nice venue and mix of performing and talking about how/why she picked the songs and arrangements.
