About

Harry Styles in Concert

He's known for having moves like Mick Jagger, charisma like Paul McCartney and exactly the kind of star quality you'd find in, say, a boy band like One Direction. By all accounts, former 1D member Harry Styles is the consummate showman. His 2017 debut solo outing, Live on Tour, was beloved by screaming pop fans and hard-nosed music critics alike. He brought his Harry Styles album to life in a spray of vintage-sounding pop and rock inspired by giants like Queen and David Bowie while strutting his stuff in custom couture, waving Pride flags and even remaking a few One Direction hits. Styles certainly cut his teeth touring the world's arenas on a ceaseless circuit with 1D, but to see him live on his own is to instantly know that he was born for the stage. His second tour, in 2020, builds on his psychedelically inspired sophomore album Fine Line.

Harry Styles Background

Harry Styles' ho-hum beginnings point all the more to the fact that he was born with stardom inside of him. With farm laborers in their ancestry, his parents worked in finance and raised their kids in the tiny English town of Holmes Chapel. Styles was working part-time at a bakery when his mother suggested he take his childhood obsession — he'd sing Elvis songs at home — to a bigger venue: The X Factor. Styles auditioned with Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" and made it onto the TV competition, where he promptly washed out. But he and three other "losers" were brought back to try again as a boy band. That was, of course, One Direction, the group that would release a history-making four No. 1 albums in a row, tour circles around the globe and bless us with bright and bubbly singles like "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Best Song Ever." Tellingly, Styles cowrote that latter hit. He was also the first in the group to start wearing skinny jeans, boots and tattoos, so after 1D declared an extended hiatus in 2015, it was only a matter of time before Styles returned as the hip-shaking rock god he was always meant to be. His 2017 self-titled debut album, led by the glam-inspired "Sign of the Times," was as big a critical success as it was a commercial one, paving the way for further future experimentation, as heard on his highly anticipated 2019 follow-up Fine Line.

Harry Styles on Tour

Harry Styles announced in 2020 that his tour had been rescheduled to a 2021 world tour, ‘Love On Tour,' in support of his upcoming album Fine Line. The extensive run of shows was to begin in April in the UK and travels across Europe and North America before concluding in Mexico in October.

Joining Harry across the world is rising pop star King Princess in Europe, singer/songwriter Jenny Lewis in US & Canada, and Jamaican reggae singer Koffee in Mexico.

The highly-anticipated new album Fine Line arrives December 13, 2019. Fine Line is available for pre-order now on CD, vinyl and via a special edition album that includes a 32-page book with exclusive behind the scenes photos from the recording process. The 12-track album features the new single "Lights Up," which has accumulated over 100 Million video views and streams worldwide to date.

  • A Masterclass in Arena Production Design

    by StageCraftGuru_247 on 9/10/25Rating: 5 out of 5

As a production designer myself, I was FLOORED. The rotating stage's seamless transitions, those custom LED panels with real-time responsive graphics, and that brilliant use of asymmetrical truss layouts - pure genius! The way they manipulated the catwalk lighting during 'Cinema' created this ethereal vortex effect I've never seen before. Even caught the DMX addressing being reset mid-show - that crew is SHARP. Technical perfection meets artistic vision.

  • Survived a teen screamfest & actually enjoyed myself!

by ChaperoneCarolWithTheCoffee on 9/10/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Brought my 13-year-old twins and their friends (ear plugs in hand). Expected to suffer through 2 hours of chaos, but Harry won me over! Found myself dancing to 'Watermelon Sugar' while balancing four $15 lemonades. My mom-dance moves mortified the kids, which made it even better. The security staff deserves a raise - masterfully handled 10,000 screaming teens. Bonus: now I finally understand why my daughters keep stealing my feather boas! Worth every penny of the second mortgage I took out for these tickets.

  • From 'Who's Harry?' to 'HELP I CAN'T STOP LISTENING'

by WatermelonSugarSurvivor on 9/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Y'all. I went to this show because my sister had an extra ticket and I only knew As It Was from TikTok. But holy guacamole - this man TRANSFORMED me?! The way he strutted in those sequined pants, the genuine joy when he talked to the crowd about their signs, and that voice?! I've literally had Matilda on repeat for 72 hours straight. My Spotify wrapped is officially destroyed and I regret NOTHING. Currently teaching my cat to dance to Cinema. Send help. 💫🍉✨

  • LITERALLY SWEATING GLITTER AND CRYING WATERMELON SUGAR TEARS

by harryspinkfeatherboa on 9/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

OMG Y'ALL I LOST MY VOICE FROM SCREAMING SO MUCH BUT IDC BECAUSE HARRY NOTICED MY SIGN THAT SAID 'I SOLD MY BROTHER TO BE HERE' AND HE ACTUALLY LAUGHED?!!?! 😭✨ THE WAY HE STRUTTED IN THOSE SEQUIN PANTS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL FR FR!!! ALSO SOMEONE THREW A BANANA ON STAGE AND HE ACTUALLY ATE IT?? KING BEHAVIOR!!! MY WIG IS IN ORBIT, MY CROPS ARE WATERED, MY SKIN IS CLEAR!!! HARRY IF UR READING THIS I LOVE U MORE THAN BREAD!!! 🍉👑💕

  • Reluctantly Admitting Commercial Pop Can Be High Art

    by vinylsnob_butmakeitpop on 9/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

As someone who typically gravitates toward obscure Japanese psychedelic rock from the 70s, I approached this with skepticism. But damn, Styles has mastered the art of mainstream authenticity. His falsetto on 'As It Was' rivals Buckley's, and the band's dynamic control was *actually* impressive. Sure, the pyrotechnics were gratuitous, but when he stripped it down for 'Matilda', I witnessed genuine artistry. My Pitchfork-reading friends will mock me, but this was transcendent pop perfection.

  • Sobbed through Fine Line & ruined all my makeup BUT WORTH IT

    by watermelon_sugar_tears_28 on 9/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I literally had to reapply my mascara 4 times bc I kept ugly crying?? When he played Matilda I completely lost it and the sweet girl next to me gave me tissues. My 'Love Of My Life' sign was soaked with tears but Harry pointed at it and smiled?? I've been emotionally unstable for 72 hours since the show and my mom is concerned but I'M FINE THIS IS FINE everything is fine I just need to watch my concert videos 47 more times 😭✨

  • Perfect show but why was everyone dressed as watermelons???

by watermelonsugarHIGHway on 9/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Concert was absolutely magical, Harry's vocals were insane, and the band was phenomenal! But I need to address the elephant in the room - why did half the crowd dress up as watermelons?? Like, I get it's his song but I literally couldn't see past all the giant foam watermelon costumes bobbing up and down. Still a life-changing show though, Harry could perform in a room full of actual watermelons and I'd give it 5 stars 🍉✨

  • NO BC HARRY LITERALLY STEPPED ON MY HAND AND I ASCENDED ✨😭

    by watermelonsugar_bestie444 on 9/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

bestiesss i'm literally shaking rn bc harry saw my 'i skipped my math final for u' sign and WINKED AT ME?!? 😭✨ the way he hit those vocals in matilda had me in a chokehold fr fr. and when he did the whale dance during TPWK?? MOTHER??? 🐋💅 also his fit was so slay, those sparkly pants ate and left no crumbs periodt. crying in the uber home rn, no thoughts just harry's dimples living rent free in my head 😩🏠 #harryismybestie

  • After 1,247 Shows, This One Hits Different

    by ConcertSageRoadie1971 on 9/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Been to everything from Led Zeppelin '75 to Madonna's Virgin Tour. Harry's production value rivals Pink Floyd's Wall tour, and I don't say that lightly. The band's tight as a drum, his stage presence channels Jagger/Mercury, and that 'Cinema' guitar solo? Pure Jimmy Page energy. Even my jaded roadie soul was dancing. First show in decades where I didn't sneak off to check sound levels or critique the rigging. Pure magic.

  • A Masterclass in Arena Production Design

    by StageDesign_Junkie_427 on 9/7/25Rating: 5 out of 5

As a production designer myself, I was FLOORED. The rotating stage's seamless transitions, those custom LED panels creating impossible geometries, and that moment when the ceiling constellation effect synced perfectly with 'As It Was' - pure genius. The hydraulic platform timing was impeccable. Harry's team found innovative ways to make a massive arena feel intimate. The lighting programmer deserves a raise - those time-coded chase sequences were next level. Technical perfection.
