We had an amazing time. My 2 kids, my husband and I all had a great time. Lots of laughs. I’m glad we purchased the Magic Pass and got to interact with the players.
We had seats mid way up at Eagle Bank… their sound system was awful. We couldn’t understand anything- reverberation or the speakers weren’t synced.… therefore the show didn’t make any sense and wasn’t that fun. We left early… Will likely never go back to that event place. Worst experience.
The event was ok, but it could have been much better if I could have heard what was being said on the loud speaker. The acoustics were horrible! I could only pick out a few words that were being said. I even went to the bottom floor and still couldn’t understand what was being said. The speakers were very amateur. For the price I paid for 4 tickets, I should have been able to hear. What was being said was a huge part of the performance. I have seen the globetrotters before and it was much better.
This was not the team I remember from my youth. So disappointed in the game. Everything was rehearsed and transparent. There were no unique skills exhibited. No arial athletics - it was a mediocre circus act at best. Brought my kids to share what I remembered and what we saw on YouTube. The game we saw did not come close to representing this. What a waste of money and time.
We were excited about the Globetrotters and while we had fun, the experience just felt overwhelmingly "meh". One main issue is that the players and emcee were impossible to hear. Not sure if this was due to the venue or the tech set-up, but the echoing sound made every word unintelligible, so we missed the entire storyline. The game itself was fun and obviously the players are talented. But I would not have spent the $$ had I known we wouldn't be able to hear what was happening on the court.
I would have enjoyed this more if I could understand ANY of what was being said on the court. I don’t know if it was the acoustics in the arena or the sound system but i couldn’t understand anything that was being said.
We should have arrived earlier as everyone seemed to show up at the same time, there was ample parking but it took a while to get to it. The volunteers were great. There wasn't a bad seat in the house. The snacks and drinks were good and the lines moved along as expected. It was a fun and friendly experience. The little kids loved it.
This was a fantastic event. We purchased the pregame 30 minutes tricks and autographed session, while in line my son and I were chatting with a nice guy who took video while a player twirled a ball on our fingers. There was about a 45 minute break then with various entertainment before the game, once this was over we heard someone call out my sons name from behind us, it was the kind man from the line, a player for the Globetrotters, Wham. He brought my son a headband and thanked him for the conversation earlier. Needless to say my son was incredibly excited and had a favourite player to cheer on. After the game there was an autograph session, we were in line for Wham’s autograph, he saw my son and called him over by name with a huge smile on his face. It’s been a few days since the game and my son is still talking about Wham. I am grateful to have met such a wonderful person who was such a positive influence on my son. Oh yeah, the game was also great.
This is our 3rd time seeing the Harlem Globetrotters. Great experience. Family fun. A must see for all.
Venue had poor acoustics. We couldn't hear very well the people talking into the mic.
My grandkids were so excited, My Granddaughter was selected to be apart of the Basketball show during the game it was awesome can’t wait to take them again next year. It was an amazing good show and we all will never forget the time we all had. If they come to your city please go support them all the game was even good.
What a fabulous day out with my husband and two boys. We all LOVED the game. The players are simply amazing and so entertaining and so talented it's ridiculous! We laughed so much, especially my 10 year old! We met a few players after the game, took pictures, signed autographs...just the absolute nicest people! We cannot wait for the next time they come to Philly!
Very excited to see the show, but very disappointed. What I saw with my eyes was absolutely amazing, but the audio was so bad I pretty much couldn't understand a word they were saying! They had all kinds of audience interaction in their show, which I think would have been great if I had understood it. As it was, I was miserable, constantly wondering what was going on. According to audiologists my hearing is physically great but the audio processing in my brain is below average, so when audio gets muddy, I'm one of the first to have trouble understanding words. However, I wasn't the only one! People around me told me they were ALSO STRUGGLING to understand what was said. They were succeeding to the point of being able to interact, but it was hard for them. They said they were figuring out "about 80%"of it from what they were able to hear and from contextual clues. Brilliant performers like the Globetrotters should be given an audio system that faithfully reproduces their voices so we can hear them!
My 13 year old son & I attended this event together- it was extremely disappointing considering tickets in total were $125. The show has gone downhill, and is not worth ticket prices. I can think of several other better ways to spend $125 for two hours of entertainment - we were ready to leave after the first hour, stayed for the entire show, hoping it would improve :( Save your money and find something else to do with your kids!
My 9 year old nephew really enjoyed the show. It was a safe, entertaining experience. He especially enjoyed getting his Harlem Globetrotter ball signed after the game.
The Globe Trotter show was a blast from my past. This was my first live experience for me and my grandson, we had such a good time. The performance was silly and we laughed our butts off. The basketball talent was impressive. I will go again.
They say you should never meet your heroes, but the Harlem Globetrotters were everything my son imagined! The team was so skilled in trick shots and gave the crowd a lot of laughs. After the game, an amazing staff member named Tamara saw us in line to meet the players and have our basketball signed, and she invited us onto the court and took us around to get a signature from every player! It was such an incredible experience!
The Globtrotters are always great. Every young child must go and have fun with the family !
The Globetrotters game was an absolute blast! The whole family had fun they keep everyone engaged, and was a great time! We will definitely be going to see them the next time they are in town!
It was better than I expected. Good show. Not great but not terrible. Loved the mascot and the inclusion of the Eagles head coach. Some of the jokes were corny but it is hard to make jokes in today's woke world.
