About

Halsey in Concert

Rising indie pop ingenue Halsey was one of the most buzzed-about performers at SXSW 2015, and it's easy to see why as she commands the stage at her mesmerizing live shows. In concert Halsey delivers her lush vocals with clarity and precision, captivating audiences with a combination of classic elegance and punk edge that makes her dynamic songs all the more powerful. Whether her voice is soaring above the sizzling synths and skittering electronic beats of "Hurricane" or propelling the syncopated rhythms of "Ghost", Halsey always wows ticket buyers with her cutting-edge style, sonically adventurous arrangements, and confident stage presence.

About Halsey

New Jersey-born Halsey, aka Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, grew up with hopes of earning a fine arts degree before lack of funds led her to enroll in a songwriting program at a local community college. The detour quickly became her focus as she discovered her knack for crafting deeply personal songs . After several years of gigging around the country and sharing demos with labels, she signed with Astralwerks in 2014 and released her debut EP Room 93. The record was a hit with critics, leading to a tour with The Kooks, an appearance on Last Call with Carson Daly, and a buzzed-about performance at SXSW in Austin.

Halsey on Tour

Halsey begins the North American leg of her world tour on June 2, 2020 at White River Amphitheatre in Seattle, WA. The headline run will include shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (June 10, 2020), Forest Hills Stadium in New York (July 15, 2020), Nashville's Bridgestone Arena (July 24, 2020) and Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre (July 27, 2020). See below for itinerary. The supporting acts will be CHVRCHES and Omar Apollo (June 2 – July 5, 2020) and blackbear and PVRIS (July 12 – August 1, 2020).

Since 2015, Halsey has amassed over 25 billion streams worldwide and sold more than 11 million adjusted albums globally. She has played sold out dates on five continents (including New York City's Madison Square Garden), been nominated for a GRAMMY® and appeared on a wide variety of magazine covers, including Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, NYLON, Forbes, Playboy and Billboard. Her 2015 debut album, BADLANDS, was certified Platinum by the RIAA within one year of its release. Halsey claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with 2017's Platinum-certified hopeless fountain kingdom, which contained such hits as the 2x Platinum "Now or Never" and the 4x Platinum "Bad at Love."

The success of the 6x Platinum "Without Me" has made Halsey the first and only female artist to have at least three songs chart on the Billboard Hot 100 for 50 weeks each. Rounding out the trio of songs are the 4x Platinum "Eastside," her collaboration with Benny Blanco and Khalid, and The Chainsmokers' 11x Platinum "Closer," which she featured on. "Without Me," which took Favorite Song, Pop/Rock honors at the American Music Awards, spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 in early 2019, marking her first solo single to reach the top spot. It now ranks as the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit by a female artist of this century. She is the first artist to rank at Nos. 1 and 2 simultaneously on Billboard's Hot 100 Pop Songs radio airplay chart. In March 2019, Halsey became the first artist in history to replace herself at No. 1 twice on the U.S. Pop Songs Airplay chart when "Without Me" returned to No. 1, bumping "Eastside" from the top spot. "Without Me" was the most-played song of 2019 at U.S. radio. She featured on BTS' Platinum hit, "Boy With Luv," and, more recently, alongside Future on "Die for Me," a track from Post Malone's new album.

    Maybe my favorite ever show?!

by Kora on 6/26/23New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

I can honestly say that seeing Halsey with the live string ensemble was quite possibly my favorite show I’ve ever seen. Over the years I’ve been to hundreds of concerts and few have come even close to this level. Can not recommend enough.

If you questioning buying the tickets, just do it.

Halsey puts on one of the greatest concerts ever. As someone who goes to dozens of concerts a yea, Halsey is always the most exciting. Her vocals live are unlike anything and it is a true experience. Even if you aren’t a huge Halsey fan, just the experience alone is worth it. And if you are a huge Halsey fan, you HAVE to see her just once, trust me it’s worth it.

    Music Therapy

by Indie on 6/25/23New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

This concert was healing. This was my favorite seated concert I’ve ever been to. I usually struggle with feeling more detached from the artist and my fellow fans during seated concerts compared to GA concerts, since they’re less intimate physically. But despite this concert being seated, and my tickets being grand tier (section on the floor behind orchestra), I felt so connected to Halsey and the fans around me, and the concert felt very intimate despite the physical distance. Halsey spoke so openly with us all, and was very vulnerable and emotional, and so was I. The whole experience felt very raw in the best way, and you truly felt that you and everyone in the room with you, Halsey included, were experiencing something very beautiful together for the first time, and that how special it was would be burned into everyone’s memory. I sang every lyric, went from involuntarily sobbing during the entirety of Ya’aburnee, then screaming all of Nightmare, the very next song after her fake encore. Halsey and every artist they shared the stage with, band members and orchestra, were phenomenal. It was magic in the making, and I’ll never forget it. Thank you Halsey. I love you. ❤️

    Best experience ever

by Britt on 6/25/23New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

Truly a one of a kind performance. It’s not often an artist that is used to performing in larger venues strips everything back and performs in a theater. And not only pulls it off but truly puts on one of THE best shows I’ve ever seen. Truly would do anything to relive it

    Masterclass in alt/pop/rock/country/everything

by Taylor Nurkin on 6/25/23New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

Halsey is the best. She made jokes, made the audience feel comfortable, and delivered powerhouse vocals. She went through an impressive range of emotions throughout her setlist’s songs. Overall 100/10 night. Would give 100 stars if possible

    Chilling Experience

by Kendra L on 6/25/23New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

I love Halsey’s voice. She is one of those rare artists who sounds just like her cd’s. But then she adds fun and different rifts and runs that makes each concert unique. Seeing her in a stripped down setting with just instruments was so amazing. The acoustics of the theater really amplified the performance. 10/10 would go again and again.

by Lex on 6/25/23New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

Halsey was absolutely phenomenal and every moment of the show was unbelievably. NJPAC is a gorgeous venue but my only word of caution is be a little weary of your seats if you are afraid of heights.

    Blinded by the Light

by Brett on 6/24/23New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

Halsey was great. Her conversation with the crowd was heartfelt and wonderful. The string arrangements and ensemble provided a delightful and interesting treatment of a wide range of Halsey's material. BUT, in Tier 1, the lighting geometry and programming ranged from annoying to painful for most of the show. Halsey looked the best when the light towers at the back and the uplights at the front were completely off. It wasn't terrible when they were at moderate intensity but this still resulted in too much backlighting. We come to shows not to just to hear performers live but to see them and the inordinate amount of backlighting made the hampered the latter. Beyond just the disappointing balance between the amount of light on Halsey vs the amount of light directed at the audience, the frequent full-power intensity pointed in our faces bordered on ocular assault. The NJPAC is a beautiful and comfortable venue and I loved hearing one of my favorite artists take her music in a different and interesting direction but the lighting design was disappointing and at times painful.
