Hal Sparks and John Fugelsang a BIG HIT

by SFDAVID65 on 7/28/15Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

I first saw and met Hal Sparks and John Fugelsang at the Sexy Liberal Tour when it came to San Francisco on October 28, 2011. Both are highly skilled and quite smart comedians and humanitarians. Whenever either one or both are near SF, I make a reservation and attend. They always crack me up, and I always feel uplifted afterward. They are both genuine and warm human beings who have a very funny take on almost everything. When you go see them (and you absolutely must if you love to laugh), be sure to stop and say hello after the show. They enjoy meeting their fans; they are the real deal.

Had a blast at Cobb's - all the performances were really funny. You do need to get 2 drinks min per person while attending a show.

    Repeat?

by newsak on 8/19/14Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

We were so excited to see Hal Sparks again. We love him! It had been nearly two years since his last performance in SF. But alas, we were so disappointed when his routine was exactly the same as the one we had seen two years ago...did he forget he already did this one in SF? Is this his only comedy routine? I have to wonder... it was OK, but I didn't laugh much and that's the whole point of going to a comedy show now isn't it? Great venue but horribly uncomfortable seats. I would recommend this show to anyone who has not yet seen it. For those of us who love Hal Spark's humor - give us some new stuff, man!

    Hal Sparks was hilarious!

by NorCalNative on 8/18/14Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

He always does new material. The stories about learning to drive a stick was awesome. I'm so glad he came back to N. CA. I usually go to S. CA and look for a club that he's headlining at so this was a real treat to not have to get on a plane to see him. I would have gone to a second show if I had been around for the weekend. Thanks so much for bringing him to SF.

    Hal Sparks was great!

by ComedyDave on 8/17/14Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

I've seen Rodney Dangerfield, Jerry Seinfeld and George Carlin live amongst others plus I do stand-up occasionally. Hal was in the top 5 of all live comedy shows I've ever been to. He was nice enough to stick around for pics, autographs, etc... I introduced myself told him how brilliant I thought he was and told him I do stand-up, he was nice enough to give me a bit writing lesson that he learned from Woody Allen. Will gladly pay to see him again.

    Best comedian out touring

    by jmann1985 on 7/14/13Comedy Zone - Southfield - Southfield

Hal has some of the most thought provoking material in his new set. I was in tears laughing about Noah's ark and the college campus bits. It was so funny we went two nights and were glad we did, he changed up half his act and really does improv with the location and crowd he is performing to.

    Amazing and never disappoints!

    by Erin7961 on 6/25/13Johnny D's - Somerville

I saw Hal in LA a few years ago and he is consistently hilarious. I've been a fan for over almost 15 years and this is the first time I've seen him in Boston. His energy is infectious, delivery is always spot on and comedic style is witty and smart. I highly recommend seeing Hal if you get the chance, you won't regret it! Plus, he's one of the nicest, most down to earth celebrities you'll ever meet.
