The festival was great in so many ways. It was only about $45 after fees, there was plenty of room and there was a variety of good artists. About the only knock on this place is that it gets kind of "iffy" in the late hours when we had to leave the venue. My specific comments below: *Venue: The set up was great, sound was very clear and the lightening effects were outstanding. I was surprised how nice that set up was considering it was outdoors. There was plenty of space to walk around, and there was plenty of people that had blankets on the outskirts of the park. *Concert Lineup: All of the artists that I listed to (Prince Royce and after) were great, and the only thing I would have changed was that some played a little more time, as it moved very quickly. Concessions: There was so many food trucks with a variety of food. I think this is a practice that other events should get into. Slightly on the pricey side but I would much rather choose to spend $10 on a funky taco plate that the standard pizza/burger fare you get at standard venues. Great concert, and can't wait to come to the next one!
I honestly had tu best time of my life , saw some of my favorite artist then only thing I didn't like was that on th VIP section there wasn't chairs . I mean I expected for chairs to be provided my feet where killing me by the end of the night
It was a awesome experience, love every second of it. Food is very expensive other then that is a 10.
I had a great time. The venue was not that great. There is no parking so I had to park far away with a friend and had to pay $20 for parking. There's plenty to do if you don't like the musical group that is performing, which I liked.
Pitbull was very good, but we had to wait from 4 pm to 11 pm to see him. Why was everything in Spanish???? It felt like it was specially for Latinos & not a music festival for everyone!!!!
My wife and I attended the H20 concert in LA this past weekend. Lets just say it Pitbull puts on an amazing and high energy show for his fans. We love his music and his upbeat message when performing.. Cant wait to see him again!!!!! Lets not forget the artists that came before that we got to experience, Prince Royce made a local girls dream come true when he brought her on stage. The best energy just before Pitbull for me was DJ Chuckie great set. A Tribe Called Quest should not be missed. La Santa Cecilia was so fun to watch because of their overwhelming talent. **these are the only acts we were able to see, we would have seen more of the acts except we had to find parking as the parking company at Main St & Alhambra Ave were pulling a bait and switch on the cost to park in their lot. They would advertise $10 on the street and flag you down and run you through a parking maze and then they want $30 and if you dont like it they yell at you and pound on your car to get you out of the lot.** we parked at a srtucture on Spring between Alpine & College closer and cheeper.
Best of the best awesome artists Prince Royce and Pitbull
tribe called quest was awesome. they needed to serve better beer. vip tickets were worthless. better off with general admission. waist of money.
The way VIP was coordinated was AWFULL! Wouldn't go back next year or EVER.
I love that show was amazing . Music was good only thing get tired being statind up
I had a good time even though it was really hot and no chairs to seat. Univision in their tv show primer impacto said it was free and i was like what?? i pay like $90 for two tickets and they said it was free!!! If it was then give me my money back
Tribe Called Quest was amazing. Epic performance so glad I was there to see their last concert. ZULU nation!!!!!!!
The bands were all good, some of them I had never heard of. I wish there were maybe more vendors. Some shopping always works at these concerts, as well as freebies! The venue was kid friendly, I saw lots of them. The alcohol is confined to a certain area which avoids people spilling on you. Looking forward to next year's line up. Very good variety!
The set list was great!! I loved pitbull!!! Did not like the fact that they only had beer gardens with two choices (coors light and blue moon) As a 21 year old that doesn't drink beer I expected mixed drinks or at least a margarita stand!!! Come on H2O you disappointed me. But the music was great. As expected people were pushy trying to get to the front. Overall they get a 4.
Great Location, Close to China Town, Fun Event. Tribe Called Quest was AWESOME!!
The event was great, except that it took toooo long for Pitbull to perform and I found the performance by A Tribe Called Quest long winded and boring,,,loved Prince Royce!
IT WAS AWESOME! SHADE WOULD BEEN NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went to the festival last year and it wasn't bad for its first year. We had a great time sitting on the hill and watching the artists perform from the beer garden. However, this years set up was not at all what we hoped. We invited more friends and family to join us hoping they would get the same experience we did last year and unfortunately none of us did. The hill became the VIP area and the beer garden behind it was blocked off from seeing the artists perform with a big black gate??? Why? I have no idea. Therefore, we were unable to comfortably sit down and watch the performances. Instead, if you wanted to sit, your patch of grass was going to be at the very back by all the booths. NO THANKS! Just wish it could've been better organized. I would give it another shot but if next year doesn't get better, it won't be worth any more of my time.
The music was good but people were jumping from ga to vip I paid extra for a good show and was getting squished with the extra ppl in vip. There was no where to sit in vip even though our tickets had seat numbers. The main reason it was not excellent was yall didnt come back to Dallas had to flybout there for a show that was no where as good as Dallas 2012.
