H.E.R. on Tour
H.E.R.'s smooth-as-butter voice and romantic R&B melodies have the power to leave you weak in the knees. She may have concealed her identity for the first few years of her career and still likes to hide behind thick sunglasses when performing, but it doesn't hold back her magnetism onstage.
Her first major performances came in 2017, at the ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Awards and the BET Experience concerts. She then supported Bryson Tiller on his Set It Off tour, before heading out on her first headlining run with The Lights On tour. She followed that with her I Used to Know Her tour, as well as appearances at major festivals around the U.S. and Europe.
H.E.R. Background
When H.E.R. first released music in 2016, nobody knew it was child prodigy Gabriella Wilson behind the moniker. It took nearly two years and a handful of EPs for her to finally reveal her identity. She's said that the reason for keeping that secret so long was that she wanted her music to speak for itself — and it sure has.
But Wilson's story starts well before her days as H.E.R. Born in Vallejo, California, the budding singer was always surrounded by music at home and became especially fond of artists like Prince and Lauryn Hill. She learned to play numerous instruments, including piano and guitar, and by age 12 she was competing on Radio Disney's The Next BIG Thing.
Two years later, she signed to RCA and released the single "Something to Prove." It wasn't until late 2016 that she took on the name H.E.R., an acronym for "Having Everything Revealed." At just 19 years old, she released her debut EP, H.E.R. Vol. 1, an intimate set of silky R&B that came with public praise from big names like Usher, Alicia Keys, and Rihanna. It peaked at No. 28 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
H.E.R. Vol. 2 followed in 2017 and took her even higher on the chart. Later in 2017, she combined the two EPs for H.E.R., which also featured six new tracks, including "Best Part," her dreamy duet with Daniel Caesar. The album was a hit, both on the Billboard charts and at the 2019 Grammy Awards, where it was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best R&B Album.
H.E.R. Was everything!!! OMG The best damn concert I’ve been since before the pandemic
I loved the venue it was perfect for social distancing and the weather was great. The only part that needed improvement was the parking and getting out of the concert. Overall I would attend another concert there.
The new venue is beautiful. The sound the aesthetic are top notch. What is not great is the parking. The parking is horrible it took us over an hour and a half to get out of the parking lot.
The artists were amazing, and the venue itself is spectacular. However, the parking is awful. It is so bad, I would recommend second guessing attending a show here. After the show we sat in the parking lot for almost 1.5 hours before we started moving.
I had the time of my life ! She surpassed my expectations. Very authentic & genuine soul. I’ll defly be attending her concerts in the future !!
Good food and drinks. Cool venue. HER was absolutely stunning and the opening acts were soo good.
Beautiful venue with great amenities. Excellent performances!
this concert was amazing. the venue was beautiful and it just gave a great vibe. she sounds amazing and her energy was great. i would go see her again in a heartbeat. she started on time and gave us a great performance. she is so humble and sweet , loved it..
Say in traffic for three hours just to get in to the concert and park. It was basically one way in and out and the event parking staff wasn’t much help. We didn’t get to our seats until 9pm (concert started at 7:30pm). I will never attend a concert at that facility. The logistics were horrible and I wasted my money. We were only able to catch a good 4 songs. Never again!!!
H.E.R. was amazing. She’s extremely talented and put on a great show. Opening act was great too. Venue was nice, but access especially leaving was a nightmare. 1hr to exit parking lot.
HER!! She is everything. Her voice, presence, performance, choice of songs, talent. Beautiful. She is the kind of artist that keeps you in love with music. I will never forget this. She is my favorite. The First bank Amp, was a great place, clean, organized, being in VIP i had a great view. No other way to see her except VIP. Best night of my life thus far
