We loved the Guy Penrod concert. He has a humble attitude and a Great voice. His singing of old hymnal songs with a touch of country was exceptional.

    Guy Penrod

This was a thoroughly delightful concert. The music, artist and all that went into the show, were great. I did feel that better advertising would have helped out greatly. I found out about the concert by accident , while looking for another event.

    Poor lighting

    by lkjsdfohgohfg13987197 on 7/16/12Adler Theatre - Davenport

We loved Guy Penrod - he was so warm and personable and we always enjoy his music. The problem was with the Adler's lighting. The lighting seemed to be all stationary. As Guy would move around the stage, he would go in and out of the lights. At one point he came down off of the stage and when he realized that there was no directional spotlight following him, he asked that the house lights be brought up. When the lights came up he still had to walk about 10 feet in the dark till he got into the house lights. He didn't seem to be bothered by it. In the very beginning there was a problem with the sound, but I'm not sure who's problem that was. You didn't give enough room in your "Seating Window" for this. First row of the theater seats - great. In front, rows of folding chairs in the Pit area close together. People were complaining and one couple went to look for seats further back.

This show was fantastic. He stated the reason he left the Gathers was so he could preach along with his singing and that is just what he did. I was so touched with his message and have been trying to apply it every day since. I purchased his new album "Hymns" and am hoping the one he sang and said was his father's favorite is on there. Have not had time to listen to it to find out. I had me crying. Was pleased to get my picture taken with him in the lobby. Hope he returns to the area soon. When he was here for the prayer breakfast I heard him there and then attended a church service in DeWitt the next day at which he sang and preached. Really am touched by him and his music.

What a lovely group of young ladies and boy can they sing!!! WOW! We will continue to come see Guy when he is in town. We love the preaching and singing! He is number one on our list of singers to see.

Guy Penrod is the real thing!

by ravenofg on 10/2/11Sioux Falls Orpheum Theater - Sioux Falls

I have been a fan of Guy Penrod for a few years, but my wife was not very aquainted with him or his background. We had a date night and I took her to see Guy in concert. We both came away inspired and lifted up from Guy's perspective on life, family, music and most of all God. We both hope to see and hear more of Guy Penrod and the rest of the group that were a part of his concert and reaffirmation of God and Country.
