About

The Grey Cup is the annual Canadian Football League (CFL) championship game. The game have been held nearly every year since its inaugural match in 1909, with exceptions between 1916 and 1918, as well as 2020. The trophy has exchanged hands with many notable recipients, including its Grey Cup-leading, 18-time winner Toronto Argonauts and the CFL’s longest dynasty, the Edmonton Elks, who claimed five consecutive championships between 1978 and 1982. The final, which is accompanied by the week-long Grey Cup Festival celebration, has regularly changed its host city, with Toronto, Vancouver and Hamilton holding the most exhibitions throughout the years. On November 17 2024, the 111th Grey Cup will be played in Vancouver for the 17th time overall, with BC Place set to be the venue for the 10th time.

    Fantastic Grey Cup

by Filupsalot on 11/29/11BC Place - Vancouver

I took a client and we had an absolute blast. The stadium showed extremely well. The atmosphere was electrifying. The product on the field met all expectations. It was well worth it!

    Beer, band and stand around

by jojon on 11/30/10Commonwealth Stadium - Edmonton

Warm up band was pretty average, would like to have seen someone local as there's good ones out there in Edmonton. Gate entrance set up was a bottleneck mess, people being directed at the very point of entrance left or right a mere 3' depending if they had a wrist band or not. Couple signs would have been helpful to keep the flow going one way, forward that is. Good number of food and beverage tents, line ups were not long at all. Trooper was good, but ticket price for this event was too high just to enjoy $6.25 beers, Trooper and standing around. Expected a little more for a national sports event "party".

    98th Grey Cup game

by Lovedhim on 11/30/10Commonwealth Stadium - Edmonton

It was an awesome event. The jets, fireworks, game and the half time show (Bachman-Turner). The events surrounding it like Huddle Town, the parade was also a hit.

    Calgary you blew it.

by mthockeynut on 11/30/09McMahon Stadium - Calgary

The Grey Cup game itself was one of the best I have seen. As for Calgary Stampeders and their set up at the stadium when it comes to concessions you really blew it. You should not have only two people sellings drinks, especially beer and mixed drinks in the same location. There was at least 30 to 40 people in line at all times. Then if you had to go to the bathroom you better have not waited too long. You increased your attendance by putting in all the bleachers and then you got cheap on the portable toilets. If you went for a drink and a toilet you missed half a quarter of the game. If you waited until half time, you missed all of that. I do not think the price was anywhere close to the cramped space and lack of facilities. About $75 less would have been about right.

    Grey Cup 2009

by Parrtee on 11/30/09McMahon Stadium - Calgary

Calgary did a fantastic job, hosting the Grey Cup. I have been to 11 Grey Cups and there are only a handful of of cities that do it up proud. We definitely set the bar higher. Well done, great game, very entertaining right to the end.
