    Paper Thin Hotel.

    by Fasteddie2 on 3/13/16The Sinclair - Cambridge

"The walls are paper thin in this hotel." Greg Dulli, the savior of misbehavior, sings about the dark side of love; moral twilight and the rapture that snares us all. A voice smooth as a mink stole that can turn to scorched earth on a dime. Ain't nobody can touch him.

    Dulli brings it...

by Tigerbabysob on 10/21/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

I have to say in all my years of seeing Dulli whether it was with the Afghan Whigs, Twilight Singers or the Gutter Twins he never does disappoint... The soul swagger, his Motown thru a Marshall vibe... This show was primarily acoustic but he spanned his entire career thru it and previewed several new songs from the upcoming Twilight Singers album. He preferred to be lit extremely low so at times it was as if the band were playing almost in the dark, but it lent itself to the desperation and desire of those who inhabit his songs. It was also enlightening as I turned to the person with me and asked "You notice anything?" Itw as the first show I have been at in years where everyone in front of me wasn't holding up a telephone or a camera thru half the show. It was oddly striking and refreshing. It was a STELLAR show, don't miss him when he comes swaggering into your town...

Greg Dulli...brilliant!!! Best writer & performer

by Beachfan on 10/20/10Brattle Theatre - Cambridge

This was an excellent show - like getting to watch Dulli in my living room. Loved the acoustic approach and that he played something from every album. The new music sounds very promising as well. Honestly, I hope he never stops writing and performing because there is no other talent out there which compares with his. There would be such a hole in the music world without him. I look forward to everything he does. The show was amazing - great venue - great atmosphere and Dulli was brilliant as always.

    Greg's still got it

by dcline on 10/20/10Magic Stick - Detroit

If you loved the Afghan Whigs, then, you'd love seeing Greg live. Any project he's done since those infamous days has been great. The Magic Stick is a cool place to see someone like Greg because it's small and intimate. Over all the show was awesome, even though he liked to tease us with songs he wouldn't sing. Just like Greg - leaving us wanting more.

Amazing venue to see a show

by staceinboston on 10/20/10Brattle Theatre - Cambridge

This was by far one of the best shows I've seen for several reasons. First - this venue is phenomenal for a performance - it's comfortable, intimate, easy to get to. Second, Greg Dulli is just plain amazing! The acoustics were great and the place is so small that he could speak with the audience and not even need a mic.

    Amazing show. Greg was on!

by EmailBandit on 10/20/10Brattle Theatre - Cambridge

despite being called out for checking email I enjoyed every minute. I was actually looking at a pic I had just taken with my phone but it's all good. I'll survived the wrath of Greg! This was a compilation of greatest hits spanning all facets of Greg's career. I feel lucky to have been in attendance. Looking forward to the Twilight tour.

    Greg Dulli Never Disappionts

by Salmcc on 10/20/10Magic Stick - Detroit

Another classic from the man from Cincinnati. The three person acoustic set was something special. It was amazing how good the sound was and how much they rocked. Regardless of the set-up, presentation, or backing members, I suggest you never miss Greg when he rolls through the Motor City.

    The Saviour of Misbehaviour

by MrSuperlove on 10/18/10Magic Stick - Detroit

Dulli can still put on a show. It was a outstanding evening with a very unpredictable setlist. Standouts for me were "The lure would prove too much", "Down the line", and "The Twilight Kid". Dulli vocals were spot on. His stage presence as strong as ever. Still can't wait to see him with a full band again, but this is definitely a great show and totally worth going to.

    Craig Wedren is amazing

    by Cronie35 on 10/18/10Grog Shop - Cleveland

Too bad his name was not on publicity or any of the billing. Craig has a remarkable voice range & quality. His variation in styles is just as broad.Thoroughly enjoyed his performance.

Gred Dulli/Craig Wedren in Detroit - Incredible!!

by arithmetik on 10/18/10Magic Stick - Detroit

It was a great show, if you're going to see this in another city, make sure you get there early enough to see Craig Wedren - his show was amazing - very talented and a great singer. Greg Dulli, of course, didn't disappoint - as always, he played a solid show, full of hits.

Greg Dulli Still Serves It Up

by Quinoco on 10/17/10Magic Stick - Detroit

Greg Dulli holds the lighter fluid AND the match, and you go to his shows to get soaked, then set on fire. At the Magic Stick his energy was beyond the angst of the angry young man, it was the sass of a soul who's been to hell and back and then goes back for more. We are burned by his anguished vocals belting out, then lured back in by crooning as sweet as honey. He lords over the crowd and enjoys the banter, leading them on with a few chords of songs he might (not) play, a master with an unruly leash. Accompanied only by a guitarist and a violinist/cellist, the sound teased out the more elemental earthiness of his dark depths with an unfiltered conviction.

    Greg Dulli always satisfies...

    by TRoy1980 on 10/17/10Magic Stick - Detroit

Just the man himself and two guys as support; one on guitar and back up vocals and the other on cello or violin. They played a wide variety of songs from Mr. Dulli's career, each one given a new feel because of the unique acoustic arrangement. Not that it was quiet or dull. Two or three songs Greg admonished the crowd for just standing there, reminding us that we're supposed to be Detroit Rock City, and the whole night picked up in feel. Lots of fun crowd singalongs and handclapping. We were also treated to I think 3 new Twilight Singers songs, all of which were phenomenal. Very much looking forward to the new album, and to his promised return with a full band in a year.

Dulli rocks the house in any format!

by pcbadass on 10/15/1020th Century Theater - Oakley

I've been a big Whigs/Singers fan for a long time, going on 12 years now. Dulli manages to pull together some talented people and make great music for everyone, especially his fans. This show was incredible. The setting was intimate and the music selections were perfect for that. A few from the new Singers album, plenty of established Singers tracks, and enough Whigs songs to keep older fans entertained as well. I was really happy they played "Crazy" as that has always been one of my favorite Whigs songs. I can't wait for the Twilight Singers tour next year!

Check out the new Greg Dulli

by speed379 on 10/15/1020th Century Theater - Oakley

I think you should reserve 5 stars for a truly unforgettable experience. Greg Dulli's solo show is a toned down, mostly acoustic version of what he normally does with the Twilight Singers. It was a great show but if I'm being honest, I wouldn't say I'd remember it 20 years from now. Dulli did several songs from the Afghan Whigs era and his hometown crowd was singing along with them. That was a great experience. He seems to have shed his reputation for heavy drinking, drugs, surly attitude, etc. He was, gasp, even pleasant. I look forward to seeing him when he gets the Twilight Singers back on the road and they release their new album early next year.

    Dulli Always Amazing

by WrenWrocks on 10/15/1020th Century Theater - Oakley

Greg Dulli always puts on an amazing show & the 20th Century Theater show was even better. He played songs from his entire career including Afghan Whigs, solo, Twighlight Singers, & Gutter Twins. He sang & played songs that I never thought I'd hear live again. He was joined by Whigs basist, John Curley, which really put the show over the top. Dulli does well in intimate venues & 20th Century fit the bill perfectly. As Cincinatti is his home town, he always puts a bit more into his shows here because it's personal to him. If you are a fan of anything Dulli has ever done, see him solo because you will not be disappointed.

Greg Dulli put on the best live show I've seen in a long time. Great sound, good atmosphere. Can't wait till the Twilight Singers come out with their new album and come back to Cincinnati!
