    Complete waste of my money

by sewster on 8/29/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

The play made everyone in Texas out to be bigots. My husband and I were offended and left at the first intermission. I wouldn't recommend this play to anyone, not even an enemy.

    Greater Tuna was great!!!!

by Anonymous on 8/29/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

We have seen Greater Tuna many times. We really also enjoyed this new production but don't feel it was necessary to include the racial comments or cursing. There were young children in the audience and I am not aware of a notice that it was for adults only. We loved the new characters and new scripts.

    Signing On

by TunaHelper on 8/29/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

We have always enjoyed Tuna. I do prefer the Casa venue over Bass Hall. Jaston Williams and Joe Sears have fine tuned this classic to Southern comfort food for the soul.

Greater Tuna was great, as always!!!!

by ritzyred on 8/28/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

I have great admiration for these two people who can change into a whole new personality so quickly ! Just great to sit there and anticipate the next character who will come on stage. This was my third time to go to Tuna, Tx. and I loved every minute of it!!

Greater Tuna has great acting however, I was surprised by the racial comments and at times felt almost embarrassed to be in the audience.

I have had the pleasure of vising the virtual Tuna, TX before. Believe me, the return trip was wonderful! Just keeps getting better...The timing was exceptional. Costume changes just boggle the mind..

    Neither funny nor entertaining...

by Eirann on 8/28/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

Enjoyed this play and a Tuna Christmas some 20 - 25 years ago - laughed so hard at times - brought tears to my eyes. These guys just don't compare to Sears and company. I was especially put off by the derogatory reference to the Viet Nam vets ' who were exposed to Agent Orange...died...but didn't look orange at all...ha - ha - ha'... In reality, the effect of this exposure is believed to have caused liver disease, kidney failure, diabetes and other painful and inconvenient conditions for many. I thought this reference unnecessary, of extremely poor taste, and - frankly - low class. My wife and I left the theater at this point.

Brought back pleasant memories of life in a small town and listening to the radio broadcasts of the local celebrity.

Greater Tuna makes you want to see more!

by LoveinGlobetrotters on 8/28/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

We were a little concerned about it not being a play with performances by the original 2 cast members. No need for any concern, these guys have the characters down on every laughing moment and are great! The sound was very good and easy to hear them from all over the theater. No disappointment here at all. It was a wonderful play and we look forward to seeing them in future Tuna plays.

I did not like the main character at all and tried not to compare with the original cast. I was shocked at the racial innuendos since it had been awhile from the last performance I attended. I hated the running over of the bird dog. Not funny.

A wonderfully delightful variety of characters that everyone can relate to (or is that related to?)

    tuna let down

by amichelle on 8/28/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

this was my 5th time to see greater tuna and was so excited to take my two sisters and neice to see it. they had never experienced any of the tuna plays and were as equally excited because i had told them how funny it was even after having seen it before. although still very funny i must admit i was dissappointed in the new scenes. the subject matter was rather dark talking about running over a dog to cover up an "accidental" poisening and murdering someone by putting air into his iv. im usually not easly offended and had this been my first time in seeing greater tuna, i may have felt differently but i really miss the original. im sad to say but that will be the last time i see greater tuna:(

Anyone in Texas should appreciate this humor. It is so small town. That is what makes us special. Person(s) can identify a local person with some or all of the traits in each character in these "Tuna" plays. If you cannot see this simple humor you are blind or deaf.

Greater Tuna - funny material needs orginal cast

by playsrme on 8/27/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

The material is still funny after all these years. Jonathan Beck Reed played his parts splendidly and reminded me of the original duo. Unfortunately, David Coffee played his female characters like a man in drag. He didn't even alter his voice for the amazing female characters he had to play. The magic of the original was lost on him.

It was amazing that there was only 2 men doing all of the entertaining. I have never laughed so much. What talent!

    GREATER TUNA IMITATORS

by samdog09 on 8/27/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

WE WERE SO DISAPPOINTED... EXPECTING THE ORIGINAL CAST CONSIDERING THE AD HAD THEIR PICTURE.... THEY COULD NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE ORIOGINAL CAST

    Greater Tuna: all about Texas

by GrizzlyGary on 8/27/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

Greater Tuna is a fictional Texas town and 2 terrific actors play all of the characters. My family and I were impressed with the incredible talent it took to bring to life all of the characters as if they were real individuals. What was amazing was how many times we said that character reminds me of so-and-so. They completely understood Texas! I highly recommend this play to anyone who want to enjoy a fun evening your friends, family, and significant other can enjoy.

    Greater Tuna was enjoyable!

by Texan21 on 8/27/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

We attended Saturday night and really enjoyed the play and facility. We thought that the acting was great and the play was funny! This was the first time to see it at Casa Manana, and there is not a bad seat in the house. When are you going to do Tuna Christmas? I am ready to buy tickets.
