About

Got7 on Tour

Korea is brimming with talented boy bands, and Got7 are no exception. The calm and confident septet stands out from the pack, though, with its international members: Just four of the seven hail from Korea, while Bambam grew up in Thailand, Jackson in Hong Kong and Taiwanese-American rapper Mark was born in California. That polyglot background doesn't just show up in their sound — a typically delicious blend of dance pop, EDM, R&B and rap — but also in their lyrics, which comfortably veer between English, Korean, Chinese and Spanish in the same song. Add in their martial arts tricking, and Got7 brings a distinctly exciting aesthetic to their live shows. The group undertook the Fly tour, their first world tour, in 2016; in 2018, they extended their reach to Europe and South America on the Eyes on You world tour.

Got7 in Concert

Got7 have been on the scene for a while, in K-pop terms. They were formed by JYP Entertainment, and their 2014 debut EP Got It? soared to No. 1 on the Billboard World Albums chart when it came out. The band quickly conquered Japan, too, releasing their first Japanese-language EP that same year. Got7 followed up that early success with the full album Identify in 2014. In 2015, the band released two EPs, Just Right and Mad. They didn't forget their Japanese fans, though, releasing a Japanese-language full-length in 2016 titled Moriagatteyo. That was followed by a slew of EPs, including two Flight Log EPs and the Flight Log: Turbulence LP. Their 2018 release, Present: You, saw each of the seven members offering a solo song, much to fans' delight. Like many K-pop bands, the Got7 are both prolific and multitalented, starring in reality shows and pursuing solo projects on the side, including the amusingly-named Jus2 (guess how many members?). Jackson was even a competitive fencer before he took up singing. They've cleaned up at both Korean and international awards shows, including Gaon, Golden Disc and Mnet. And they were the first K-pop band to play New York's Barclays Center.
