Come and experience the sparkle and the magic of the Goh Ballet's Nutcracker - the show The Province claims is "..the one to see" this holiday season. With a live orchestra and a cast of 200 performers, this production is the only traditional Nutcracker in Vancouver this year.
I took my 8 year old granddaughter to see the Nutcracker. She was mesmorized from start to finish. She especially loved the children doing acrobatics. a definite must for any aspiring ballerina.
Went with my 6 year old daughter yesterday and I knew it would be good. But did I have any idea it would practically bring me to tears? GOH's Nutcracker in Vancouver was out of this world. My daughter's jaw dropped dozens of times, she covered her mouth 'oh my!', laughed and gazed in awe and thrill. No wonder so many kids were there; yet it was a fantasy for all ages. Like watching a great film 'in person' it was an ethereal performance we will never forget, and may just return next year.

This is the second year my family and I have attended the Goh Ballet Nutcracker. Brings me to tears everytime! Loved every minute of the performance.

Goh Ballet presents the Nutcracker. Splendid performance by all levels of dancers from various styles, not just Ballet! Bravo to Ms Chan Hon Goh, executive Director for continuing and furthering the Arts through music and dance. BRAVO!
Beautiful dancers with amazing ability and technique! Costumes and sets were so pretty it was like eye candy and very enjoyable to watch. Performance was over leaving us wanting more! Extremely enjoyable!!!
I took my 8 year old daughter and it was so much fun! The music and dancing were wonderful, and it was short enough (especially with an intermission) for young children not to get bored.

If I had known that half of the dancers of this event were children I would have not purchased tickets. The cute factor only went so far given the cost of the tickets. If I wanted to see a children's dance recital I would have gone to a school.
Beautifully done ballet. Great experience. I liked the colours used in the set designs and costumes.
The whole experience was very well organized. Upon arrival at The Centre, there was a choir singing to greet us. The show started promptly and the first act was outstanding! Intermission was brief and second act very entertaining! Costumes were beautiful! Choreography impressive... Alive!!!!! Orchestra played beautifully!! Choir was additional enjoyment.
This was a stellar Christmas experience with all sorts of magic ranging from the children in the crowd who were obviously wishing they could be in the show, right through to the Principle Dancers who carried this artistically. Loved the music. Enjoyed the pantomime aspects of the first act and then the serious dancing in the second act. I loved seeing the children perform knowing that for some of them, this is a turning point in their lives.
The Goh Ballet's production of The Nutcracker was lovely. A very well staged and professional production. The musicians and the dancers gave us a wonderful show.
The Nutcracker was a perfect mix of talented children dancing along side professional ballet dancers. What a thrill for them to have this opportunity to perform live in a theater filled with Tchaikovsky music, snowflakes, a sugar plum fairy and so many other memorable dancers. The choreographer had just the right mix of cute children's acts, gymnastics, ballroom dancing and classical ballet. And we must not forget the magician who outwitted us all. And the music, always beautiful made for a glorious evening. If you have the opportunity to see this young company dance you should act on it right away
