Goh Ballet's The Nutcracker Tickets

We weren't sure whether we would make it for the Nutcracker matinee on Sunday Dec 18th since the roads and transit were compromised by weather. I am SO glad we persevered! It is hard to believe that most of the cast were not experienced veterans. It was that good. There were times I was close to tears. I also appreciated the inclusiveness of having Clara played by a person of color as well as several Chinese choreographed numbers (with hula hoop and scarves) which I had not seen in previous versions. The music from the orchestra was amazing. I would say the only thing which might have been a little skimpy was the stage setting. I have seen much more opulent decorations at other productions of the Nutcracker. The sparkly snow was lovely though. All in all, I left the theatre completely satisfied and enjoyed every moment.

I think this is the first made-in-Vancouver production of the Nutcracker? It was awesome to bring my 4-year old after the long pandemic break. Production was well done, including the sets, costumes, and choreography. There was a much appreciated free dance workshop for young kids before the show, which could have used some more organization as there was no signage for where to wait, and while we were told to come 10 min early, young children in ballet outfits were outside in the freezing cold until after the workshop start time. Hopefully a detail that can be ironed out for next time!

I love the products you are selling before the performance. The show was great. Funny and very entertaining. Congratulations to all the performers most expecially the little ones❤️

I took my mom to the event and it was beautiful. We sat lower left so we’re unable to see the entire show but it was beautifully performed. We were expecting to see more of an adult performance but the kids did a great job regardless. The young cast (besides Clara’s and the brother’s part) made it feel more of a year end dance performance so it would be nice to see another version with a full adult cast. The added scenes of acro (with what seemed like Aladdin and jasmine) and the ribbon dancers, took me out of the nutcracker story line but it was entertaining scenes that were beautifully performed. A more traditional show would be lovely to see one day other than that, well done!

1) The production was magic 2) the website known as “ticket-center” is a pirate site that overcharged me. A $70 balcony seat that they charged me $260 for. It ruined my evening

The ballet itself was amazing! The young performers were so engaged and it was great to see! I didn’t appreciate all the seating of late comers though. Hundreds of people! It went on for 15-20 minutes. Far too long in my opinion!

Set, costumes, dancing, story, orchestra with choir… all superb!!

Well done and storyline shared without words was interesting. I enjoyed the props and the range of all ages. I would recommend this show to many people. The dancers had a lot of talent and skills.

Enjoyed several shows. I thought the Friday night ballet show was absolutely flawless. The story in Act 1 was well acted, danced, and choreographed! Act 2 featured some world-class dancing and music as well. Will come back next year for sure!
