Gloria Trevi on Tour
In the late ‘80s, Gloria Trevi made her live singing debut on the biggest Mexican variety show at the time and proceeded to shock the world when she was censored on national television for her daringly outrageous performance of "Dr. Psiquiatra." And thus Trevi's shock-pop was born — and so was one of the most notorious artists of our era. Her performances brim with high drama, outlandish theatrics and plenty of sass, and the original Mexican wild child continues to dazzle audiences the world over via her irresistible moxie. On her 2019 North American tour, in support of her pop album Diosa de la Noche, audiences of all ages got an opportunity to see a truly legendary and multifaceted pop performer.

Born Gloria de los Ángeles Treviño Ruiz in Monterrey, Mexico, in 1968, the singer-songwriter moved to Mexico City during her teenage years to conquer Spanish-language pop, which she righteously did. Along the way, Trevi also rewrote the Latin pop playbook in a time when female performers were expected to be glamorous or wholesome. Though her biting critique on machismo and religious hypocrisy delivered via her unmistakable rasp, Trevi stunned the nation with her reinvention of what a pop star looks like. While she became a celebrated and much-needed voice for Mexican feminists everywhere, she also endured what is perhaps the biggest scandal of the music industry during the late ‘90s. Rising from the ashes like a phoenix, this superstar came back fiercer than ever in the mid ‘00s. As remarkably complex as she is, Trevi can be whatever she pleases: A theatrical femme fatale, or a soul-baring and passionate singer. But one thing that is certain throughout is that she is a one-of-a-kind creator.

I had been wanting to go to one of her shows since I was 5 years old. Now, almost 30 finally my dream came true and she did not disappoint. Gloria sang live throughout the whole show, she interacted with the audience constantly, and had an amazing energy. She performed mostly songs from her newest album but also included some of her biggest hits.
I had so much fun, she has a special way of connecting with her audience, however, Her shows are amazing .I was so dissapointed for the seating. I payed about 400 dollars for 3 tickets for second row right on the corner, and on the mapping when purchasing the tickets , it showed no seats infront of me, so I didnt care and purchase them. To my surprise , we were all flat on the floor, and a speaker right infront of my seating area on the only possible view right on the corner. The seats were chairs, and all connected to each other, so small and uncomfortable
Wow! Really cool, energetic and Gloria Trevi being, well, Gloria Trevi. Crazy performance and she was very interactive with the crowd.

She's just stunning and one of the best performances of the year, she dedicates to her public and interprets her songs with passion. She treated he fan with respect and dignity helping them reach out to her.
Although the venue was strange and view a bit strained Gloria was still the amazing consummate entertainer. She mixed genres, languages, dancers, sets and costumes(many, many changes) flawlessly with her amazing music....and all to a brilliant theme!
Gloria herself was impeccable. She looks spectacular, and performs top-notch, as usual. Was only disappointed with the show itself. The stage and props are not taken full advantage off. With same resources, but a little more creativity or better stage direction, Gloria's performing skills could have been put to a bit better use, creating better emotion build-ups, more tension, impact, or dramatic outcomes, out of most of the songs. Dancers are excellent, and bands/musicians really make justice to the show's concept. Still, is the overall delivery that could use some more tune up. Bottom line: Gloria is on the stage anyway, so she'll always save the day, no matter what.
Gloria Trevi's concert was amazing!!! She closed with my favorite childhood song, "Pelo Suelto" Love her so much that I was crying to see her singing live.
She was quite entertaining. I enjoyed the show. Not too crazy about the venue - staff is not friendly, it was very cold, and a bit far when compared to other venues in the city.
The best show ever. I will be using this website to get my tickets from now on.
I was disappointed that the star act did not appear on stage until after two hours of the show's beginning. The crowd was unruly and pushed towards the stage causing some people to become unset. .

Gloria put on a great show. Definitely worth the $$ paid for the ticket. She performed essentially non -stop (with the exception of costume changing time) for a solid 2 hours. While the stage may not have been as fancy, nor the props as elaborate, as in a larger venue, the performance was equal to being at Verizon or Jiffy Lube. The only reason I am not giving this 4 stars is that: 1.) There was no prior indication given that ID's would be checked (albeit a disclaimer that the performance was for 18+). Since the majority of attendees were latino, many of them did not have what the venue considered appropriate ID, and a fair number of people were denied entry. 2.) The venue was COLD...and I mean like walk-in refrigerator cold. Even after the show was well underway, it was uncomfortably chilly. 3.) The sound did not need to be quite as intensely loud as for a larger venue, yet it seemed the sounds engineers did not adjust the level accordingly. Upon leaving the venue, my ears felt like that had been at a Metallica concert.
She is so good singing dancing entertaining omg she has everything. Almost 3 hours the show she never stop I love it!!!!!

This by far has been the best tour Gloria Trevi has put together! Everything from old to new songs! Takes u on a magical music journey for 2 hrs! Very theater like! BIG THUMBS UP!
This woman has been through so much in her life, but it has only made her as strong as she is today, and her concert shows it. Such an incredible human being with a huge heart and a ridiculous amount of talent. I liked every song she sang, and although I would have preferred some more oldies (Agarrate, La papa sin catsup, Tu Angel de la guarda), I can't complain because she performed for two and a half hours! The energy from the crowd was INSANE when she sang Con Los Ojos Cerrados. If you're thinking about going to her concert, just do it! Highly recommended! The only problem was the sound kinda sucked, I don't know if it was because we were so close (in the pit) or the venue's acoustics, but it was hard to hear her voice at times.
The best concert I've seen, I've seen iron maiden and the beach boys and this was my third concert this year and it was the best!!!
