    nice sound

by tyigram4 on 5/15/24Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - Skokie

The 14 piece orchestra was smaller than I imagined but the songs and sound were good. It only lasted about one hour fourty minutes. It could have lasted a little longer and just been "better"for the over an hour traffic nightmare traveled to attend. It was a good concert but "somehow"did not live up to my expectations. I, personally, would not travel that far to hear it again.

Band was exceptional. Vocalist did a good job. Only regret is that performance was too short. Only about 70 minutes

    Glen Miller; WOW!

by Bucky on 5/15/24Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - Skokie

We listen to Singers & Swing on Comcast every day when we play cribbage They play a lot of this type of music which is our favorite. As a former Arthur Murray teacher, this is my favorite music. When they did an encore last Sunday of 'In The Mood', I could hardly sit still. The entire orchestra was made up of incredible musicians. The host had a beautiful vocal range & played an amazing saxophone. Each member had a solo & all were wonderful. We would see them again anytime.

Great time for the fans of swing music!

by bzzh8c on 4/19/24Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts - Pontiac

This outfit plays all the tunes you (or your grandparent) remember. Decent singing, big enough band to fill the place, and nice story telling. There's a lot of little solos, so be ready to do intermittent clapping throughout the show. They also play some lesser known tunes which I actually enjoyed as much as the hits. As the music continues you start to get a sense of what it was like to go out dancing to a big band 60 or 70 years ago, and it's a neat feeling. You'll enjoy.

We completely enjoyed the theater and the orchestra. The music was great, and the conductor did a wonderful job. The orchestra was accompanied by a wonderful singer. Couldn't ask for more.

Easy process to get tickets and to transfer to my Apple wallet. The theater was wonderful and the staff was all so kind and accommodating. Would not hesitate to go to the STRAND theater in Pontiac again.

A welcome blast from the past

by Jim on 4/17/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - Bloomington

Great show from a group of professional musicians playing the music of our parents’ generation. The narration was welcome and helpful. Amazed to find out they play around 200 shows a year all over the place. Thanks everyone responsible for this event.
