Great Show. Amazing guitar and Glen Campbell's hits songs as well as songs from his new CD, Meet Glen Campbell was fantastic. The band was great with rock sounds as well as country and pop. Glen Campbell's daughter, Debby Campbell is such a great singer and the duet with her Dad has incredible blend and harmony.
Last night I saw Glen Campbell put on a spell-binding performance at Belterra Casino, in Florence, Indiana. He sang many of his popular songs, including "Rhinestone Cowboy"and "Gentle on My Mind". He also sang songs made popular by other singers as Johnny Cash and U2. He sang a few beautiful duets with his daughter, Debby, who has the Campbell personality. Glen Campbell still has the great voice and charisma that he had on his TV variety show.
MY FIRST TIME SEEING GLEN IN CONCERT AND HE WAS GREAT. HE STILL LOOKS GOOD, SANG VERY WELL AND PLAYED THAT GUITAR. MAY CAN HE PLAY. LOVED HIS OLD SONGS AND THOSE FROM HIS LATEST ALBUM. AT TIMES HE WAS AS GOOD AS ANYONE I'VE EVER SEEN.
my boyfriend and i were amazed how great the concert was....well worth the money and would go see him again....his daughter was wonderful as well.
GLEN C. SINGING AND GUITAR PLAYING WAS VERY GOOD I WOULD GO AGAIN TO HIS SHOW. I LIKED HIS DAUGHTER'S SINGING AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SEEN MORE OF HER. THOUGHT HE WOULD SELL SOME CD'S AFTER THE SHOW, BUT THEIR WERE NONE TO BE FOUND.
Glen played and sang all the old favorites plus some new songs. He still has that characteristic voice; amazing fingers on the guitar. He played to the audience; often posing for pictures while performing. He daughter also did a good job. The duets were special. The most disappointing part of the evening was the audience. Many were rude standing in front of those seated to take pictures. Many left their trash for others to pick up instead of taking it with them. The venue wasn't very handicap friendly but the staff did make seating adjustments.
Anyone who ever enjoyed hearing Glen Campbell sing, needs to attend a current concert. His voice is still as rich and full as ever. Glen appreciates his fans and that is evident throughout the concert. His daughter, Debby, comes on stage and joins her father for a couple of songs. They are tremendous together. Glen sings his songs from his earliest days of recording up to the present. His guitar playing is out of this world. He even played with the guitar on top of his head. It was a fun filled evening that I will never forget as age has not slowed down this marvelous entertainer.
This was the third time that I've seen Glen Campbell in concert, and the first time at this venue. What is consistently great about Glen Campbell are his vocals and guitar picking. No one else can play the William Tell Overture on the guitar on top of his head! However, what saddened me is that age (as well as the long term effects of drug and alcohol abuse) has caught up with Glen. Physically, he appears fit and the only real notice of aging is more gray hair. Mentally, his short term memory is quite noticeably diminished often requiring his band leader to finish his sentences or respond to Glen asking "What do they call that?", etc. He never forgot the words to his songs, but could not speak well between songs seemingly due to dead brain cells affecting his word recall. While I know that he has a new album to promote, I prefer to remember Glen Campbell as he was the last time I saw him 5-6 years ago without the appearance of memory deficits.
Glen Campbell is still a wonderful performer. He may be adding on the years, but he can still sing and make you laugh. Very enjoyable show. Surprised us with some of his song selections (ie. Classical Gas, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, etc. etc.). His daughter, Debby, was entertaining as well. She was a good compliment to her father's show. Would definitely see Glen again.
Glen Campbell concert at the IP was fabulous!!!!! He's still got it after all these years. Nobody can play like Glen. Please bring him back soon!!!!!
He still has it. Only recommendation would be not to handle mic stand so much. His daughter is good but did not go to see her.
It was a trip down memory lane and thoroughly enjoyed. I wouldn't hesitate to see him again if he returns.
The show was good. A little too short. He looks good for his age and can still play a mean guitar. Was a bit dissapointed that he had to keep checking a hidden teleprompter for the words when he was singing some songs by Tom Petty and also that he had to check the words to some of his own songs. In all, thought, I am glad I went.
